Dani is my favorate “presenter” (a sweeter version of Tony Robinson)!
Craig Mayer
I really like how Dani presents and explains. She presents in a concise yet engaging (and interesting) way. Way to go Dani. I'd like to see more of you taking the lead on Time Team digs!
Patricia Amero
I do believe info packages are sent out in advance of the dig, and having experienced people monitoring each process, but I could be wrong. Time Team has community dig down to a science... literally. 😉
Patricia Amero
100% 👍 everything you just said. 👋 Hi Judith!
Patricia Amero
I love how Dig Watch gives us the energy and excitement of the day. An incredible amount of preplanning and organization, synonymous with Time Team, allows new people and new tech to fit in seamlessly like cogs in a wheel. HUGE hugs to everyone 🥰

Agreed!
Halo Pendragon
Not to be off topic or anything, but I really NEED a rainbow Time Team logo teeshirt. (Spotted during the town crier filming). Please do a short run? Maybe a preorder?

What a sensational site with so much to see and learn about. Great to be part of the action. Looking forward to seeing the results come in. Time Team is really delivering a wonderful programme with all the latest technology and all of our favourite people. Lovely to see everyone back again.

Unbelievable technology! So exciting!

Very impressive systems which QR codes ect. I love these types of digs when the whole neighbourhood is makeing small testpits. I always feel like doing the same in my garden. Who knows what I will find. Lovely to see everyone so motivated and the beer and gin sounds also good. Can't wait to watch day 2.
Tim Chapman
The risk of a test pit survey i suspect is there is a strong chance of missing the archeology. What techniques and methods do you use beforehand to lessen the risk?
Dave Ludlam
Nice to know that Carenza doesn't need to run around to test pits grabbing finds. The scanning of info and finds straight to the micro tent is impressive.
Sue Tweedie
Really excited to see the next snapshot. Thank you all

I think you have picked a great location for this dig. I have just been looking up Modbury’s history during the civil war and there was a lot going on there! It will be great to see some finds from this period and a great opportunity to tell what I think will be a fascinating story. Thank you Time Team!

Hi Donna, we'll be seeing more of that American gentleman and discussing his connections in our upcoming Day 2 update. His hat gives us a little clue...
Donna Oglesby
Great seeing the whole community getting involved, I can just hear Mick in Heaven, yelling, Love those tests pits!! LOL. wish there would of been a bit more on day 1. Like explaining more on the American Gentleman that was there and why he was there..
Mechanical Muse
As always it's fantastic to see both of you out there showing us around! Your passion for the projects is always wonderful to see.
Jon Colcord
I agree with so many of you. My absolute favorite Time Teams were always the community episodes with either the residents or the school kids helping out! What an exciting intro of what is to come in the final production! Maybe more than any of the other recent digs, this has that true Time Team vibe! Mick is smiling about this one I’m sure!
Rick Doner
I absolutely love Dani. Of all the people I wish I could speak to before I die, Dani and Phil are my first two.
David Boon
As a retired primary school teacher I am looking forward to the test pit on the school site. What an opportunity for those kids.
Ella K
Lovely walk along.

This is my favorite type of TT - with civilians involved, esp. children. I love regular excavations, too, but when you experts are teaching, that's just the best. Ages ago Carenza taught test pits in another town; you had building experts and dendro dating on that one, too, but Carenza had to run everywhere. Mick's comment was "she's quick isn't she?"
Carl Johnson
That was a great intro video and yes I'm ready to head to the pub for a cold drink.
Stephen Walls
I love seeing the whole community involved.
Karen Kastner
Really like the atmosphere of this one….
J. Andrew Lockhart
That was a good one. :)
Andy Woodhead
Great to see the data dome and new software - hope we get to see some of Matt’s digital 3d models up on that big screen!
Karen Foley
I remember a test pit dig many years ago where the villagers want to know which part of the village was the oldest part. Mick was in his element in that one.
Pamela Brotherton
So exciting! Can't wait to see more!
