Anglo-Saxon Cemetery: Winfarthing Coin Pendants - 3D Model

No, they're not hollow. As Anders says, it is an undesirable artifact of the 3D rendering program.

OK. Please consider it! I think it'd be really fun for those of us with 3D printers to print our own copy of what you all are finding. It would be an opportunity for us to have a physical copy of what you're finding. It'd be a great opportunity to bring a tactile experience to the show.

Since Sigebert died in 656 and coins are worn, is is likely that the Lady died around 686, or is it the fact that the coins are worn just isn''t evidence enough to speculate in any way about the time of her death?

I typed about: config because the 3D models never work in my Firefox. But it didn't know that command. So I can still not view these. Funny, after complaining and trying one more time it did work! :D I should complain more often. :D

Hi Ben, models aren't currently available to download at the moment, but we're looking into the possibility of making some available in the future.

Does Time Team allow us to download the model files? I can't seem to find any sort of link in order to do so. It'd be nice to be able to 3D print these items. According to the SketchFab documentation, the creator has to explicitly allow people to download their models. Example: https://help.sketchfab.com/hc/en-us/articles/201368589-Downloading-3D-models

They both have a similar picture that to my amateur eyes looks like a person holding a very fish/bag. Is there any particular significance to that image? Do we know what it actually represents?

It's an artefact of the modelling. Previously, we'we also seen 3D images of pits, that could be viewed from the outside.

Are these "coin pendants" hollow? The 3D models seem to show a black edge part of the way round, with gold for the rest.
