Time Team Update: Coming Up...
🕑 Added 2023-09-10 20:47:34 +0000 UTCHi,
A very warm welcome to all our recent members and a big thank you to those who have been with us for a while.
It's a hive of activity here, with many exciting developments underway. Here's an exclusive update on a few of them...
More Dig Watch: Next 3-Day Dig
We're thrilled to announce the team are preparing to head back out in the field next weekend for another 3-day dig! Once again, it's a site with personal resonance for certain team members. Get ready for more Dig Watch action as it unfolds. This week, we'll be setting the scene on what makes it such an intriguing site to explore.
Another Classic Special on Patreon
We've had a great response to the Classic Specials released so far, and there's plenty more to come from the archives! Don't forget, we're releasing one extra Classic Special every month for our Patreon members (Digger and above, for an initial duration). Look out for the next episode very soon.
Digging Band of Brothers: Premiere
The wait is almost over for Time Team's first new Special, featuring Tony back in the field. The premiere is being lined up to follow soon after the upcoming Dig Watch weekend. Watch this space for further details.
Competition
To celebrate the release of that new Special, we've lined up another huge competition, open to entrants worldwide. This really is one of our best prizes yet, so make sure you enter for a chance to win.
Cerne Abbey
Our latest Time Team News instalment showcased a 'lost' Benedictine abbey in Dorset that has been relocated by the University of Sheffield. Coming soon, we'll be sharing extended coverage of the dig at Cerne Abbas, which has been turning up some fascinating finds.
Future Digs Development
We recently shared a 'long list' of potential future sites to investigate. We're continuing to refine this list and will be asking you for your opinions on possible site contenders in due course. What's more, thanks to your collective efforts, we're well on our way to reaching our current 10,000-member goal.
That really is just the tip of the iceberg. Make sure your notifications are turned on all to receive all the latest updates.
Thanks again, and we'll see you soon!

Time Team
Hi, many of Time Team's post-excavation reports are available to view online via Wessex Archaeology's website: https://www.wessexarch.co.uk/our-work/time-team

Thanks so much for reminding me of the playlist on the Official YouTube channel. I went on a TT Official deep dive and realized I'd missed many quite interesting interviews... so, guess what I'm doing tonight? Yep, I'm enjoying more TT great (new to me) content. Cheers! 😃👍

Bravo! Off- topic but.. Could you have a look at site research after Time Team's digs? E.g. Smallhythe at https://www.youtube.com/live/DooB-HO8J_w?si=gwuCJsj2qyhb8zTG is amazing. Is there any way to access dig reports? Not everybody's cup of tea, but some of us would love the read.

Time Team
We also looked back at many Classic episodes in our 'Time Team Teatime' sessions on YouTube. See playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/@TimeTeamOfficial/playlists?view=50&sort=dd&shelf_id=10
Time Team
Hi, we have run a series of commentaries for episodes in Series 12-16 on YouTube. Check out the playlists here: https://www.youtube.com/@TimeTeamOfficial/playlists?view=50&sort=dd&shelf_id=9

Too much news, my head is spinning trying to hold all of it! 😅

I LOVE these Classics. What a GREAT JOY they are !
J. Andrew Lockhart
Wish I could find my name on there. ;)

Not directly relevant to this post but... I have an idea for a Fundraiser. Allow people to buy their names from previous Time Team Flags. Then you don't have to store them and we have a tangible memento. Cost to fan should cover the processing of the flag and postage and time costs, with some left over to go in the Time Team coffers. Just a thought!

I have often thought this would be a great feature. Thanks for bringing it up👍🤩
Page One Project
Great to hear about everything that is going on. I've been low key binge watching classic episodes (I don't want to run out too quickly). I often try to find additional information about the digs when I've finished an episode, but more often than not there is nothing. I'm sure at least some of the sites have been investigated further over the years. It would be great if Time Team could do occasional "What has happened since" videos. They wouldn't have to be anything too fancy. Something along the lines of what is being done with the news segments, or possibly as a part of those news segments?
JUDITH COOKE
Hello Time Team people. I do appreciate all you are doing to inform us of upcoming activity and projects and look forward to participating in whatever way available.
Richard Linley
Sure do wish Patreon would get its act together with gift memberships.
Jude Edling
Woohoo! Thank you so very much!
David Vickery
I appreciate the Patreon content very much, but to watch a classic episode ad-free, I go straight to Reijer Zaaijer's YouTube channel.
PHILIP MAY
Excellent news thank you TT
Clare Stapleton
One of the things I would like to see from TT is requests for help. What about a link to county offices where they might be asking for volunteers. I live in the US but would dearly love to come to the UK and volunteer for a month. I'd be happy just making the tea!

To get rid of ads, you have to sign up for the paid version of YouTube. As a teacher I have found it to be worth every penny.
Time Team
Hi. While we try to balance making Time Team as accessible as possible for all fans, we're pleased to let you know we have lots of special content coming directly to Patreon this month. This includes the upcoming site preview, on-site Dig Watch coverage (including Q&A sessions with the team, taking your questions), followed by the extra Classic Special. Look out also for more Patreon-exclusive chats with Tony to accompany the Specials.
Matt Cooper
I can’t wait !!!
Jessicka Catherine
Having an ad free version of YouTube content would be a good start I think.

Bravo! Brava!
