Way cool. Very nice music.

Wendy

Ewan Maclennan does a beautiful cover of this and so many other similar tunes

Wendy

This is amazing 👏 🙌

Octavia Gentemann-Schmidt

wow! love this! amazing, that you can see the shadow of a stick, but it is not recording "itself" .. so the stick. what a view! thank you for this.

Karen Kirk

Hi Jill - it was so much fun but hard to hide 😆 Karen x

Jill Desruisseau

Super cool technology. The company I work for is testing these now for large equipment performance tests. I love Karen trying to lurk out of sight. :)

Tunde Brunette

It’s fantastic! Thanks, John!

Spud Man

That's so cool

Cate Abbott

That was fun! What does the device look like? I could tell from the shadow that it was a stick with a bulbous top point. Was there a bulb(sensor) on the bottom, too? It was interesting that the device, (plus computer imager) took itself out of the picture. If you look at John's hands, he looks like he is holding something, but there is nothing there. Thanks for sharing.

Neil Graham

Trust John to get his hand on the tech first, just make sure he doesn't turn any filters off, we have seen him turn of the Roman filter when doing the survey

Andy Quick

Nice. You could even look up at the sky, or at the ground :-).

Derek Thom

BBC "walks" use 4k with a crisper image and maybe you could use a mini windsock on the mic when sound is important. Otherwise a very useful addition to output. Keep experimenting.

Cheryl Kurucz

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Edwin Elliott

He looks cold but still our good old John, going strong. Neat technology. Just like being there.

Bede Browne

A man you don't meet every day, excellent back-ground music for John & the video. I think with time & practice this new bit of tech will be mastered both by John & the viewer. Good stuff.

Ingi Jensson

Great! 👍 Embrace the tech ❤️🙏❤️

Margie Willis

Love it!!!! Keep it up!

Michael Crisp

Awesome!

SallyMum

Terrific...and I learned a new word-always a good thing, even @ 82!

Clive James

Love the interactivity and the fact that John still has issues with technology after all this time!

Sue Tweedie

That was different!

Marcus Lindström

This is amazing. I am guessing this is already in use in archeology sites? I wonder why this isn't more common due to getting a whole different experience being able to look around. Great to use for maybe historical sites or sites that may be off limit due to safety concern etc! Or just to record places before they are lost to something like sites that suffer from corrosion. A whole different experience comparing to just images or 3D made areas!

Eric Fretheim

I'm only forced to wonder, how did John get hold of this toy before Stewart? This seems like a Stewart thing!

Elessa Wylde

That is amazing.

Patricia Amero

Very cool. I expect to see John walking back & forth in the fields with a GoPro stick duct taped to his head... that in itself is worth the cost of admission. 😁👍 love it, thanks John.

Eggs Ackley

Now that John is an expert with the 360 cam, let him use it in the next pub scene (keeping one hand free for his beer, of course). 📹🍺

Patricia Amero

Thanks Andy, it worked a charm! Every day is a school day for me & tech.

Ivan Clowsley

Excellent loved the music too. The first piece was The Pogues, I’m a man you don’t meet everyday, was it not?

Leanne

This is great! I did have an issue when I had it in full screen as the top banner would cover the up arrow, so had to get out of full screen to use it. Thanks for the experience! Gorgeous area.

Evelyn G Kimbrell

He was having so much fun with it, even though you could tell his hands were freezing.

JanD

John Gater has been like a kid in a candy shop with the return of the new Time Team. Kudos to him, his joy and expertise.

PHILIP MAY

Super cool piece of tec .Wonderful. That was stunning @ 4K John @ TT

Andy Woodhead

This is great! To get it to work on my iPad from the Patreon page. I had to click on the ‘share’ button at the top right of the video and then on the 3 dots icon and this played the video on YouTube and it worked by rotating the screen - hope this helps.

Jen Harris

What an amazingly beautiful beach and scenery.

James Lee-Pevenhull

Brings to mind German airplane, seagulls, umbrella, Sean Connery.

Carrie S

Well that was fun!

Winfield E. Johnson

I've been hoping we could actually see the digs on the island .

Steve Mikre

Very Cool...

Zoe Propper

This is fab!
