Here's our GPR guru, Jimmy Adcock, at the start of Day 1, with a quick run through of the kit we use for a large-scale ground penetrating radar survey.
During his Spoil Heap Q&A, John Gater touched on the challenges of using geophysics to locate a cemetery. Jimmy highlights some other limitations owing to the soil conditions.

Hi Mike, it's always good to hear from Jimmy! GPR aside, analysis and reporting continues long after each excavation, and there are some interesting post-dig developments that add further context to the Winfarthing story. Good to hear from Jimmy. The incredibly useful but much-maligned GPR is a great part of Time Team. And I loved him in the Communards! Oh, not that Jimmy lol
