As an Anglo Saxon fan I’m feeling rather spoilt! Thanks so much for doing this so soon after Sutton Hoo!

I've had a busy few days, but now have time to watch everything so far, and once again loving what I see.

Time Team
Hi Mac, it's all real! But yes, as a collaboration with Operation Nightingale and Cotswold Archaeology, it's a different approach to the traditional 3-day Time Team format (more like the Aldbourne Band of Brothers dig). We're still doing the 3-day digs, while having the flexibility to complement these with other projects as fits the site. We'll also be seeing more members of the team besides Helen over the course of the dig / in the final episode.
Mac Whatley
Is this a real Time Team dig or one of those extended cooperative digs with Project Nightingale? Apparently it's taking a week or more, not 3 days, and only Helen is involved? Looking like a Digging for Britain episode with Helen instead of Alice Roberts.
Eggs Ackley
Give Richard some longer fly-away hair and a striped jumper and someone might take him for a latter-day Professor Mick 🌈😬

The UK 'summer' weather has been dreadful this year.

Is it really that cold there now? They look like they are dressed for late fall or early spring!
