Hi, yes there is a lot more still to come from this site! The Dig Watch coverage takes you behind the scenes of the filming, direct from the site, as it happens. We then put together the completed episode with full analysis/conclusions, to be released at a later date. Look out for details of that in due course.

May I ask: are these 6 brief glimpses all there is to this site? I’ve been left feeling like there must be more to this site. I initially thought these snippets were just a preview of a full length show to follow. Would of loved to have been able to see the more detailed and informative content.

I thought this six shorter pieces were just great. I'm so appreciative of all the work that went into them. I can't wait to see the finished product that will incorporate the post-excavation work, and, hopefully answer some of these questions about use and re-use of the site.

I love the casual format of these conversations more than the more formal Dig Watch interviews (which I also liked). Great job by Helen and Jackie. I also wonder if it turns out to be a 6th century site if plague is a possibility. The unusual and irregular, shallow burials is interesting.

I'm amazed at how round that Roman building is. Now that I know you can turn limestone pink by heating it, is there any evidence that designers did that on purpose to decorate a structure or did they only rely on natural pink limestone?

Not an 'actual' TT dig. TT were invited, I think, by Op Nightingale to come along for their excavation and film it for a future programme. So TT following other digs between patreon funded 3 day digs, to keep the interest, and give VFM for the subscribers; as TT digs are still relatively few presumably due to the limits of crowdfunded income.

This was not an 'actual' TT dig. They were, I think, invited by Op Nightingale to come along to watch and film and make an episode, as they have done a couple of times before, so an expansion of the original TT remit and also some added interest between the patreon funded TT digs that are still relatively few in number due to crowdfunding limits.

In addition to the classic 3-day format, we now have greater flexibility to tailor the approach as fits the specific site. On this occasion, we were collaborating on a dig coordinated by Operation Nightingale.

Hang on, I must've missed the post that talked about this--when did we go from "only three days to find out" to "Day 6"? I mean, I'd love a month-long dig even, so double the number of days is double the fascination, but is this a permanent format change?

I wonder whether post excavation's gonna answer some of the lingering questions. What striked me as amazing was how visible and prominent the circular enclosure/structure was from the drone view. For once a feature was not just a vaguely recognizable blob of off-colored soil. Thank you limestone. :)
