Viewing the three days in a single complete video made it so much easier to follow the various timelines being discovered/investigated across Modbury. I found the individual day's episodes a bit confusing to follow. This brought it nicely together. I do support Sue Fidler's comments on graphic reconstructions - particularly for me the prehistoric and medieval timelines. This would have enhanced the story immeasurably.

I really enjoyed this but I do think it's a shame we seem to have lost one of the great Time Team tools - the graphic reconstruction. Originally it was Victor's amazing drawings, then graphics artists such as Sue and Steve and then Raysan. We now have this vast array of tech and graphic tools which are amazing, but we have lost the visualisation of the site, and its changes through time. It's great to hear Stuart say that he's found the mound and possible hill fort, but we don't get to see it. Then the first church which isn't true East/West following the mound, then the abbey and cloisters. To hear about the development of the town in four areas probably linked to the four manors, the original burgage plots which have been squared up covering the original market. For me, and I'm sure many others, what helped us understand what the archeologists were explaining was the visualisation of the site at these different stages, whether it was a roman villa or fort, the growth of a medieval town.. or mastadons walking the oxford landscape, those graphics were a wonderful way to see the site through time and put the detail into a bigger picture.
