With Derek and Lawrence pulled in different directions, Meg Russell gives us the lowdown from the trenches and test pits, with lots more finds being unearthed. Let's take a look...

My favourite digs were always the "Community Digs" on the old Time Team & I always enjoyed the enthusiasm of Mick. It is wonderful to see these digs get a shiny new 21st. C. take but truly say true to the spirit of the past. I am really looking forward to the final 3 day program in 2025. I will be a member for as long as I can.

Dig Watch 2 was excellent. I like the editing, the drones views and the explanations esp I liked Richard Osgood’s updates. Thorough and clear, a great sense of humor, all that is very engaging. Fascinating to see how the interviews are done. The film makers are great in making it all fun, appealing and instructive. Bravo to everyone.

So long as it deosn't become a Disney version of Oak Island then why not welcome the interest and funding of such an organisation?

Hi Eelco, Finding your ancestral background is fascinating to many people and if we have a well known name it increases people's interests. The sites are chosen because there is a great story with great archaeology, which we believe the viewers will find fascinating and will produce a wonderful film. Name recognition of this kind can help create interest in Time Team's projects. We hope you enjoy the film when it comes out. Thanks

First the Stetsons, now the Disneys... Is this going to be a patern? Whoever pays the most gets 'genealogy dig'? Who's next? Elon Musk? Warner (brothers)?

Richard holds his cards close to his chest... then, ♠ in hand, reveals a Royal Flush in the final minutes of day 3. 😉

She's Bournemouth University and so is Derek. Probably not a coincidence. But she's a good find. Nice Day 2, thanks!

Thanks. I love these videos being uploaded within hours of the action. It makes me feel even more involved than the joys of Patreon. Gus' excitement of what's been found made me much more excited than Richard's slightly more downbeat review on the day one video 😉

Meg did a great job hosting this episode of Dig Watch. I was wondering how she originally got involved with Time Team and are her past experiences and education...
