I've been working my way to this point of the story and I've anticipated it was going to be this way. Everything was eventually leading to the climax with all of the different branches and plotlines coming together for you, the MC, and the resolution that's over the horizon. You're close to your happy ending in every aspect.
These last few episodes are pretty short because I've told most of the story I've wanted to tell. There's still more to learn and explore with the girls but your relationships can only get so much stronger. It's simply just a matter of putting a cap on them and solidifying the bond you have with them.
Looking at the way the episode is now, I do have room to add more to it. But I don't want to add anything just for the sake of adding it.
Looking back on development, one thing I've admitted before and I'll admit again is that I've had a tough time balancing the sex and the story. I put so much emphasis on the story that I've kind of neglected the reason that you're all here. And while I think everything is shaping-up to be the way I wanted it to, I could've given it more consideration.
In order to flesh out these episodes, I was thinking about including sex just to have sex. I did consider this when I wrote scenes for characters like Jordan and Marisa. There's always the idea that the MC could call one of them up during his free time just to hook-up. The issue with that though is that I couldn't make it mean anything. It would just be hooking-up and that's it. It's inclusion wouldn't add much to the story. It wouldn't advance the plot. It wouldn't even create much more of a bond between you and the girls because it's just a purely physical thing.
Another thing I thought about is having more than one girl. I mentioned this in a previous philosophy post about how I didn't want to have threesomes or foursomes if they didn't make sense. On the other hand, threesomes and foursomes would be pretty entertaining. And I think there's a way to write them that wouldn't hurt the story or misrepresent the characters.
But the main thing I wanted to talk about is the part of having sex just for sex. I'm actually fine with it either way and judging from the feedback, I think that's what most of you want.
In Episode 14, sex with Vanessa is the culmination of a meaningful conversation you have over pizza. In Episode 15, you have an entire date before sleeping with Riley. That means you can have sex again with either one of them without needing anything to lead up to it. You've already going through the door and now you're in. You can just have sex to have it. And that's it.
Do you want to have sex just to have it? Do you, the MC, want to call someone up just to relieve some stress because you feel like it? Again, these scenes wouldn't be there to advance the plot or provide any meaningful development to your relationship. It would be just to have fun. I would jump right into these scenes directly because that's all there. Strictly, for lack of a better term, porn. And when I mean just sex, I mean minimal dialogue before and after. No deep conversations or insights about life. Just sex and that's it. I know it's a pretty stupid question to ask if you want to have more sex but on the practical side, it does add some development time. If I were a better writer, I could give these scenes some life with even just a tiny bit of development and I'll definitely try my best when it comes to that. But I'll be honest, it'd be nice to write a scene that didn't have any weight to it.
These scenes in particular pertain to the development prior to the end of the main story. I plan on having more elaborate endings when you've chosen the girl(s) you like and you can have unrestrained, pure hedonistic fun with them. And then there'll be the sex scenes that are meaningful and romantic, which will be on a higher level than scenes you've had so far. There WILL be sex scenes that are deeper in every way but those will come after the story.
This isn't an official poll. I just wanted to give you another outlet to voice your opinions. It's pretty clear to me that you all want more sex because more sex is never a bad thing. I'm sure some of you are reading this and thinking finally, this is what you've wanted the entire time. If nothing else, it's good to be clear that we're all thinking about the same thing.
On Episode 16
From what I just wrote, you can infer that this shorter episode is on the lighter side. There are scenes that aren't strictly hedonistic and add stuff to the story but there's always room for more. Who doesn't want an extra scene or two?
All that said, I'm on the verge of finishing up all the non-sex scenes. It's going to be close to see whether I start animations before the end of the month like I'd hoped. Again, this is just to start animations and not actually have them finished.
I'm going to have a full progress update before the end of the month so that you all can decide what you want to do for February. I think it's unlikely for a February release, just in case you don't happen to read anything else next week or I don't post.

I'm torn, I really can't choose. I would like a balance. I guess if I had to really choose and in my current emotional state I have to choose...

Of the two poll options, I think there's a good middle ground. Like maybe you can just hook up for a quick fuck, but other times there's a whole build up. Like a hang out or date beforehand. So there is more sex, but it's not just constant sex. Neither is it all deeper meaningful sex, sometimes a quickie.
