[Release] 0.6 - Portal traps and new shaders
🕑 Added 2024-05-28 01:11:37 +0000 UTCMost of the time was spent on background rendering stuff. Learning to write better shaders and trying to fix some visual glitches. I still can't get the shadows right, they look very pixelated no matter what I try. I think the root of the problem is using Universal Render Pipeline instead of the High Definition Render Pipeline.
Back when I started I opted for URP, reasoning that the graphics would be stylised and I wasn't going for ultra realism, but now I reckon that if 'looking good' is an important part of your game, then use HDRP. Feels a bit late to change everything over now and I've already spent a lot of time on this background stuff so I'm just gonna move on.
On top of that I'm stuggling with a dying computer, even as I'm typing this out it keeps stalling. Probably a good idea to use the patreon money for an upgrade.
Anyway, additions in this update:
fleshlight portal trap
self-suck portal trap
new shaders for characters
outline shader to draw subtle outlines on everything
The map above will show you where the new traps are, they appear in levels 3 and 4 (the green and blue areas).
There's probably a bunch of bugs so let me know.

I've not been able to recreate the RubiA animation bug. Did this happen more than once?

Thanks, yeah, the next traps will have some kind of 'temptation' theme to them, still working out what they'll be though

That said, the portal traps are REALLY cool, I like them a lot! I had an extra thought, after seeing the swirly pattern in the portal texture - have you ever considered having hypnosis traps? Stuff to compel you to masturbate or walk toward RubiA or something like that?

Found two bugs! First, the cock in the portal is always the default color, it doesn't track the custom colors. Second, after the blowjob scene (area 4, I think?) RubiA stayed in the kneeling pose and just... Slid around the stage. No robotic "stepping" sounds, and I don't think the "detection eye meter" thing appeared either.

Sorry about that. Yeah, I'm trying it on my laptop and it's running a lot slower than it should. I'll fix that ASAP. I can also add that toggle no problem.

Already found an issue upon starting, the game’s framerate has dropped to single digits, nigh unplayable. First guess is it’s due to the flying portal device whizzing around, and not having the most powerful machine. Also, small suggestion, add a toggle for the heart filter effect?
