Yes, I also thought he was going to straight up give up the pretence and appear in person. But I didn't realize that James was going to think it was polyjuice instead of really being his son. I still have no clue where John and Virgo went. Some sort of scheme to annoy Harry, I suppose. Or a pre-marital ritual of some sort they have to do quickly. It might come to me.
