Fully agree that the story could use a look outside the NorthEast sector. We haven't seen anything really of the rest of the planet. All we know is there are other contenders and players out there because Eric isn't always the first to a given title and there is a planetary council that the North East has representative on.

It’s fine to use dialogue to advance the plot and deal with exposition but … at some point too much effusiveness becomes … cringe-worthy. It kind of sticks out like a sore thumb when many of the characters talk and act like horny teenagers infected with diarrhea of the mouth. In this chapter, for example, Brittany says to Eric, “Fuck, you’re so handsome. I swear, you’re just GLOWING … and I totally think I’m in love with you … .” Even Elonia falls all over herself to suck up to her brother when she texts: “EL – Ernest, I’m SO SO sorry! I wasn’t expecting that. But THANK YOU SO MUCH for saving Brittany’s life. All our lives… again? Fuck, just how powerful and awesome are you?” Over the past 400+ chapters, the main characters increasingly communicate in overly effusive, awkward, over-the-top, and cringeworthy ways … and this is becoming a distraction from the story. Again, Blue Faction is appearing increasingly toothless. Caliban says to Eric, “We lost hundreds of innocent lives today, with key elements of infrastructure and support taken out … .” Then shouldn’t Blue Faction demand reparations from their adversaries? Shouldn’t the power behind Blue Faction strike back in retaliation against their adversaries? Are we to believe that random adversaries get to attack Blue Faction – the supposed only neutral ground on Earth – with impunity and Blue Faction can do nothing about it? And these treacherous adversaries face no penalties? What use is Blue Faction’s vaunted neutrality and interlocking treaties of mutual defense? Let Eric win in the northeast sector. Let him have irreversible, permanent territorial gains. Let the Blue Corps territory truly be “safe” and no longer subject to treachery and attack. Let Eric have competent and able allies that don’t depend on Eric to save them and rescue them. Let no more system artifacts be put into play to change the history of the northeast sector. Let Eric move on. Let’s see new places and new adversaries. The northeast sector is tired. The goblins have gotten old. Let’s see Eric learning more about the wider universe. Let’s see him figuring out the hidden “rules” and “powers” and how the key factions interact. Let’s limit deviations from the “rules” where random powers can act with impunity to interfere with Eric’s progress. Let’s see more consistency and predictability in how the universe operates.
