Not four. Three. Which either meant that they were either extremely lucky, extremely foolish, or two assassin were still hidden and could strike at any time. Pretty sure 4-3=1 🤷‍♂️

I love the story and this is war, so I get the consistent enemy back and forth stuff but the Elonia troubles are getting stale with no character growth on her part other than the measly stats she got gifted with her territories and yet she has the full political faith of her followers? She is completely unproven and has no spine or bite. Also she shows none of the supposed skill or genius she had in her normal life that her mother drilled into her. This needs to change! The same goes for Caliban, if his one or two layers of negotiations and diplomacy don’t work, which they never due with this book out the window world, he has nothing. He has shown no growth either. Also I agree a bit with the others about Eric getting so strong but only being in one region seems SUPER slow. And he has not been contacted by other natural born contenders trying to grow? No galactic contenders with any kind of morality? The scope of the story needs to expand asap or you’ll lose a bunch of readers who aren’t in it for the marathon. Don’t get me wrong, I am!

On another note why are Eric's allies completely incompetent in defending territories that Eric has effectively given them stewardship of? And why would he continue to give them a chance when his sister has proven unable to protect herself or her own faction' s interests multiple times and the blue faction that's supposed to have really deep resources across a multi-world empire that has a unique opportunity to actually get access to land and resources they've hardly been entrusted with before that could give them great influence on a newly ascending world that has value deep value empire wide and they are barely throwing their weight around at least comparable to the goblin syndicate in order to protect their access to it. Blue faction and Ellonia need to step up their game or Eric needs to find better allies that are able to hold off his enemies

I also think that it’s interesting that they’re scapegoating “Ernest” because another dude was “favored”…but Eric is actually one of the Empress’ disciples. How is that not “favored”? That and how they somehow identified “Ernest” as being the primary partner in the bank—despite that document being in Eric’s name. And then Caliban apparently totally ignored the document he’d signed without a word to Eric.

chad osborn

Forgot the confederation that was set up as an enemy to wipe out the Eric could easily do now as they put themselves on his chopping block early but has done absolutely nothing about because REASONS????

chad osborn

Right? The first two books we were presented with the rat queen, freeing the city of orcs, and the lich as problems and those got completed in a decent amount of time setting us up for more exploration of the world and different confrontations. Ever since arriving in freetown Eric has been going around in circles of the immediate territories in the area conquering and having to reconquer them again all while dealing with the same goblin games since then without resolving the real problem even though he has the power/ability to do so, because our dear author keeps dragging it out and it's getting old. Why can't he either solve the goblin issue permanently or at least cripple them so badly that they are a non-issue until the world's land is closer to being 60% claimed? It'd be nice if we had a few arcs of pure adventuring and dungeon diving without the empire politics creeping in.

Hey MH, these are good points, hope you can take this feedback — this is all super repetitive at this point. You’ve got plenty of stories-in-waiting to go to, don’t be afraid to keep the plot going. Roll the continent up, execute the goblins once and for all, and introduce a new Contender threat, or take us to Harry Potter-land at the academy. Everything here is so old, beast surge, lawfare with goblins, come on…

Honestly, when we got that Minotaur in early bronze waiting in that rift, I thought we were gonna get something interesting. The Goblins obviously came to play, but everything that came after that point seemed so far out of left field to me. They should have been steamrolled in New York, a bitter and Angry MC chasing after the traitor Ron and destroying them all. We also should have long seen cracks in the relationships between the other factions. The fact that numerous factions have used up resources against a single native when it's so utterly against them is wild. I honestly don't even wanna talk about what happened with the Talisman and his mom's ascension because it makes no fucking sense to me still. That and how nobody seems to have known about the Goblins tricks, or have countermeasures and tricks of there own. Finally, we've seen nothing in relation to the inquisitors targeting the other faction leaders we saw, and we know they saw, trying to blowup the core. They want a scapegoat, and are being paid to find one, and they have several clear and easy targets right in-front of them. It's incomprehensible to me.

“Caliban grin his teeth” >gritted

chad osborn

And how many times is he going to bring up the "have's and have not's" conversation with nearly every new person /group he befriends or with someone he has already had a the conversation with before? Seriously that horse is glue by now with how beaten it is

Jeff McCulley

If he’d just finish clearing them and the last orcs out, right?

Jeff McCulley

I keep waiting for Ernest to clean up New York, empty the bank and finish the northeast, and yet the task keeps getting diverted. It kinda looks like it’s getting diverted yet again.

Jeff McCulley

“mithril halberds resting upon the marble tiles that could so easily be used to decapitate any threat” >mithril halberds that could so easily be used to decapitate any threat, resting on marble tiles. “Elonia’s court suffered from an absence that no leader would ever miss.” >”suffered”? Why would it suffer? >>>evinced “hadn’t hesitate for” >hadn’t hesitated “The massive moral bonus” >morale “Collard slaves” > Collared “NUL AND VOID for” >Null

I have a question. This chapter is for book 6 or seven? Why are we this deep into the story with the MC at power level of deep bronze or early silver and STILL hasn't left to explore past the state of New York and New Jersey? There are seven continents to explore and adventure in and we as the reader are still stuck dealing with the same political crap ass enemies. Why are you still beating that poor dead horse theme of the haves and have nots? It's fine for a theme for one arc of a story but you're use of it has become Egregious this far in. Honestly with the tools at Eric's disposal two books worth of chapters ago he should have rolled over the whole of the north American continent at the very least and brought lasting peace and prosperity to it. Are you incapable of creating a new antagonist for this story or at least for a specific arc. Because the goblins/traitors of earth arc has gotten old. I know I would like a new threat or enemies for a change and being done with the current Antagonists completely

Lee Caldwell

We need new enemies. I’m sick to death of goblins.
