August Game Build
🕑 Added 2024-08-29 00:25:17 +0000 UTCI was trying to get as much as I could packed into this build at the last minute, but started to see myself cutting corners and I didn't think it was worth the dip in animation quality to get an additional few things implemented. As such I decided to stop, release the new build now. And spend the rest of the week working on animations at a better pace, and planning things out a little more.
So there isn't a whole lot new in this build, I ended up falling a bit behind with the various events of the summer.
Korvald has a second love scene that is complete. Its available after you free him, as well as from the animation viewer when Meridiana sleeps in her tent.
There is also another section of the tutorial that explains weapons and has a couple puzzles. Let me know how obvious or not the puzzles are, or if anything feels wierd there.

EDIT:
If you have issues running the game (There is a zip with a seperate pak file), Unzip the main files, and navigate the folder SorceressTale/Content/Paks (if the Paks folder isn't there, just make a new Paks folder) Drop the Pak file into the pak folder and everything should work. There is a quick video attached!

I appreciate the feedback! Thank you! Yeah I've got to fix that jumpy giant. I worry that I might have made the radius of his impact too big, and thus something you can't escape.

Okay, got some time to sit down and play. Not as much as I wanted to play, but enough to get a pretty good feel for everything. First off, magic is great. This feels like a really good spot for it. Also, I don't know how long the element combining has been in or it that's one of the latest additions, but it's brilliant. I really appreciate that some of their magic pools are finite. The tutorial was pretty fun and felt like it explained everything well. Only area I have a suggestion is the one where you are being taught gun/knife usage. It might be helpful to have some ammo lying around (if there was then I missed it) so that players can keep messing with the gun and also progress easily if they don't find the sixth target and run out shots like I did lol. (There could also be a reload function that I missed. If I did, my bad.) The new enemies are really cool, and I love their sex animations. It's cool to see you add more expressions/head movements from Meridiana during these animations. Only enemy I would suggest a tweak is the Troll in one of the procedural rooms. Dope enemy, not fun to fight if he manages to to the jump/knockdown attack. By the time Meridiana recovers and can get back up, he'll do it again and just get you stuck in a ragdoll cycle like this until you die lol. Alsox the environs for the tutorial levels were unique and well put together. Only bug I noticed was I guess model outlines on the Troll, and text refusing to display if you skip it too quickly, so you have to start the conversation over again. Thanks for the build!
