Now we just need a version with the gunfire dubbed over with the Patented C&Rsenal Bang noises.

I've only ever found 1 working condition 1917 at all the shops and shows I've looked at, I've never found broken ones or ones that have been shot out, plus I don't know who I could take a project like this to that I trust...I would love to see a bench accuracy test for this carbine and see if it's better or worse than say an Enfield Jungle Carbine or a Mosin M38 or M44

Did you film any of the manufacturing of this I am going to make one as soon as i find a suitable doner gun. (Parts gun or shot out barrel). What length is the barrel?

Respectfully I disagree. Othais made clear in the intro what this is and isn't. A little extra sauce for the goose, so to speak, not a substitute episode.

It is interesting, however I would argue it defeats the point of this series. The main reason I started watching is because it detailed WWI issued firearms in great depth. Running around chasing one offs isn't really a issued weapon. The reality is unless it was a sanctioned common pattern of modification I would recommend avoiding it as it takes away from actual content that was in reality issued and used by significant quantities of people. Since it takes 2 weeks for a episode, wasting a episode on this when there is so much to cover (Lee Enfields, Portuguese M1904s etc.) really does disappoint me.
