Your show is about history not current politics. I would be disappointed if you brought modern politics into it. There are plenty of political channels to go watch if i so desired, i don't. Not to mention it is kind of pointless for gun channels to get heavy into 2A politics, because the vast majority of the viewership is probably supportive of the 2A anyway.

To be honest I don't see this as a "Gun" channel. I've actually dropped my subscription to a couple of channels because of their overtly political stance on this issue. Their choice to make their comments but mine to quit. Glad you are sticking with the educational stance.

I absolutely agree and have had lots of these little notes and never shared one before. The context is this is someone who has my direct contact information and instead of speaking to me on the matter has called me a coward for not wanting to setup my own pulpit.

People need to calm down when it comes to channels like yours and Demolition Ranch (who also generally keeps politics out). You are mostly a history channel with doctoral level research, and since a good chunk of your support comes from those who disagree with you politically, it is wise for you to not add politics (I have seen some of the things that some of your European counterparts have liked on Twitter and it makes me not want to support them). Although you might have to disclose some of your beliefs when you run for president :) Othias2020!

There is a time and place for current events and politics re: Firearms. I don’t believe C&R is that place. What you do is so overwhelmingly important in its own right, I would not cloud or distract its focus.

And this is exact reason why I am very selective when it comes to the channels I support. Fare thee well, unsatisfied patron. It looks like others have stepped up whereas you have stepped to a lower level.

Let's be fair, it's not like they haven't a reason to be wary of compromise. It seems that every "compromise" is us giving things away to make them feel happy. We rarely get anything from these "compromises."

i'm happy that you leave modern politics out of it :) personally i believe in both the right to own a gun, and gun control. but that really doesn't have a place on this channel, so i'm glad you don't touch on that subject. i always enjoy your videos, keep up the good work :)

It's oddly aggressive. I watch his channel from time to time, but I honestly don't find his stuff in depth enough to really take my money. Stand on the range, shoot, talk for a bit and edit it down. It's the opposite of all the behind the scenes work that goes into making C&R click. I don't think it's him though - strong as his beliefs are he does strike me as a very polite chap.

Choosing when, where and how to engage in the social/political process is one of our most basic freedoms. I salute your stand and remind others that bullying to support a given position is the very root of fascism. I think, we can safly asume there is alot of things political we dissagre on. I am a hunter, mostly bow hunting, so i know how to handel a shotgun. The problem is not guns. Germany, Finland, Chezh, Russia and Switzerland, prove that. What i think is the problem is, is traning, storage, licens and acces. Wheather you are a collector, hunter, marksman or whatever you right and abillity to have and own guns in america is your right, but atlest makes guns have the same registration recuierments as cars. I just want evryone iwth guns to rember: The Gun Is Always Loaded unless you have checked it yourself, Never Point The Gun At Something You Are Not Prepared To Destroy, Always Be Sure Of Your Target And What Is Behind It, and Keep Your Finger Off The Trigger Until Your Sights Are On The Target.

Standing for gun rights has nothing to do with politics. Things is like C&Rcenal are great for the fight because they can relate to anyone. Someone may watch this channel because of this history, and stay for the firearms. More people out there who are into firearms the better for the community. Keep up the good work! Doubtful. Ian and Karl stay quiet about most politics. Most of us in the gun community that do that do so for a reason...

I'd say being neutral and not tied to current events helps keep the channel objective and better suited for posterity. Plus after many years of 2A activism, I have places I can go to instead dedicated for the purpose. This channel researches and preserves the historical record that I first loved with Tales of the Gun. Keep up the good work Othias.
