I love the idea of tailoring your content for TV, because you have a better show than anything I've seen on the networks by far. Fitting into the one-hour time slot would be your biggest challenge, I think; but content-wise you do a better job than anything I have ever seen on a network.

I hope you can manage to cover the inter-war years generally together as their own period - possibly as a stage-setting "forward" to WWII. There was some GREAT design and quality of build going on then. Even if a design didn't make it to "Round Two", or stayed commercial market, it probably had an influence on it. That would all fit well with your desire to tell how we got from A to B. Nice thing is that most of it runs on ammo you won't have to break out the cartridge conversion manuals to feed.

What about a wall calendar for new years eve. I would love a "c&calendar" 12 month - 12 historical fire arms. Perhaps with some odd dates such as the battle of Tannenberg, armistice day and so on?

We experimented with Amazon video and were rejected. This was because of my call outs to the comments section, special projects, other videos, other channels etc. We can still have guests and tell people about them, etc... we just have to stop making it youtube-format specific.

Someone made the point that book is a bit pushy on feelings and lighter on facts and I could see it... but overall it is a simple and available introduction to a rather complicated history. The pre-WWI material has the same issue, just turned inside out. We can't get post 1923 film and photo because of copyright, and we can't get pre 1880s because... well it didn't exist. So moving the show towards shooting B-roll and other visuals, plus trying to shrink the time a bit, would help with both!

Honestly I'm 100% behind you if you decided to do what you really want to do and go backwards into big bore black powders like you said you'd like to do in the 1871 episode. There's so much post WWI material out there and so little (online in one place) about Civil War and Post-Civil war black powders that you shouldn't be in a rush to go in a forward in time direction. Just finished Leopold's Ghost by the way, you're right, it's a pretty dark history but it's also pretty relevant considering the geopolitics of that region, thanks for the recommendation. Keep on doing that voodoo you do...do...
