I just mean saying the same fact like 3 times an episode is a bit of a waste

I like redundant information. As someone that doesn't have any access to firearms its all redundant to me anyway. I like redundant.

TwentythreePER

Wow the footage is amazing.

Erik

Earlier concerns addressed, I've got to say it looks and sounds great, and slow-motion shots of autoloaders doing their thing from a couple angles WILL be exceedingly cool. When you're doing armorer work, knowing exactly when things happen in the cycle of operations is NEVER a bad thing. If you haven't already filmed it, PLEEEEEEEEASE capture a Vickers on this gear!

Bruce Brodnax

Foley artist got carried away with the volume on the close-ups of the action operating: WAY TOO LOUD vs. the volume in the regular footage. Guess you'll get that figured out before it makes the final edit. Visually, everything looks slathered in awesome sauce! Good luck w/ the Amazon compatibility: that would open up a revenue stream, I'm certain!

Love it, Excellent video and sound, it definitely give a feel for how the gun works and especially loved the look on the operators faces. Awesome!

Joe Venzon

Sounds great! I'm excited about it.

This clip had almost 0 audio editing and used the onboard mics for each shot. In final product we'll pull from our suite of mics like normal

Looks great, but I have to agree with the comment above that is concerned about overdubbing the shooting segments. Hearing the shots adds to the segment. Your quality is several logarithmic factors higher than mine, but one piece of advice from several viewers to me was to include some non-overdubbed shooting footage which is why I added that to the end of my videos. If you dub Mae over the shooting, you take away from both the shooting, and from what she has to say. Keep up the great work!

These are all good changes that will enhance the show for new viewers without diminishing it for long-timers. This gives me comfort that the show has legs and will only get better. I think Erik has some very good comments but I'm not too worried about you turning the show into a circus. Wouldn't hurt to turn down the volume on those slo-mo booms though!

HUZZAH!!! Great job!!!!

Joseph Corsei

Oh no! Those dastardly Millenials are at it again! -.-

I would second this comment. I like the addition of the special effects but keep some real time footage as well.

Erik

One small request as you gain experience with your new tech: Please don't get hung up on shortening run time or inserting special video techniques to the point that you're excessively voicing over the sounds of a gun being prepped and fired, or not showing a decent length clip of it being fired at real-time speeds. Part of what we come here for is to gain insight into what it was like to operate these things or to have them fired at you, and lots of slow mo and overdub (voice or music) REALLY detracts from that. There are a lot of gun vids out there that seem to have been filmed for the sake of showing off how bitchin' the camera and sound equipment is - PLEASE don't turn into that!

Outstanding!!

Anders Weidik Bendsen

Oh wow. I gotta just, I mean, oh wow. You guys! Thank you for your efforts.

John S Wren

That really, really works. Don't know what the technical change is but the quality and image stability when the camera moves is excellent. Don't know about the teleprompter though. Part of the charm of the videos is your narrative style. Mind you I don't have to learn it like you do so whatever works for you!

F4_Phantom

I like the behind the scenes peek of what goes into the video that is uploaded. The quality certainly looks MUCH better, not that I would really complain about what has already been produced and uploaded for our enjoyment. As for shortening the videos.... I really enjoy and appreciate the deep dive into the details of the particular item being presented. I for one, really don't care if the Millennials and Gen X'ers with ADD can't sit through a long video presentation of historical items. It is their loss not mine. As a Patreon contributor, I couldn't care less about those whiners and entitled babies.

Exciting!

I think this is a great way forward. And if I may make a modest suggestion, how about a target time for each video. Having had to deal with page and word limits, I know that they are major pains in the nether but also valuable ways to force decisions about what goes in, what stays out, and the most efficient way to say what you want to say. I know that's time-consuming (Lincoln famously apologized for the length of a letter by saying that it would have been shorter if he had more time to write it) but I think the results could be worth it. I apologize for the length of this comment but if I had taken more time to write it . . .

Michael Garvais

Um...is the image quality 10000% better? cause its looks great.

LuchsTheLynx

Those are some Great camera work there Othais and gang! I love to see the quality stepping up! Great job, cant wait to see those later Episodes!

That open piston doesn't look real compatable with mud and trenches.
