The only harm this content is doing is harming YT’s bottom line by being less profitable than an algo chasing 5 second cat video that has more ad that content. It might also be hurting the “Guns bad” mantra by having long form, insightful, properly researched, and educational content that shows weapons as fascinating historical artifacts instead of evil. YT does not care if it kills the creators that made it as it replace the between ad filler with mindlessly generic big media refuse and keep profiting. I can sympathize with evil, but not with stupid. Are there no companies that want to be seen next to firearms or sell to firearms enthusiasts? Viewers are a commodity YT sells to advertisers so why do thy refuse to sell my gun loving eyeballs?

I also have bought several shirts and the cool lighting download option to give to signal my STRONG support for that project(also impatience after the 3rd week wanted to see it all). I unlike most people here kind of understand Youtubes position. While I feel like you should be exempt because of the context of your content. It is a judgement call whether you break YouTubes stated fuzzy around the edges rules. Here is hoping the internal discussion they are having breaks your way as it should in my opinion.

It seems to be a fairly effective way to have more content and patron engagement without a ton of work (I say this strictly as a viewer, not a content creator. I totally understand that, as there is no platform that really has the capability of YouTube, but I'm concerned that this is a step for them to ultimately get rid of "problem content" on the platform, by first demonetizing it so that there is no financial drive to post it. I would not be surprised to see further steps from them to rid the platform of anything they don't like, including hiding the content more from things like search results and more. I believe YouTube's final step will be to outright start banning channels they dislike. Do you think it would be worth it to post on other platforms if only just to help protect your content from being completely eliminated? I'll be honest, I am also asking for slightly selfish reasons. I no longer want to watch ANYTHING on YouTube, and if C&Rsenal, Forgotten Weapons, and InRange were to all end up on the same platform (especially one with a decent mobile app), I would almost entirely stop viewing anything on YouTube.

here's a "YouTube union" in league with IGMetall(sp) currently threatening this - or something like it - under EU law (I think; I barely understand the reasoning myself, although it seems solid). It appears to be primarily a scare tactic, but when it comes to civil lawsuits and similar non-criminal-yet-somehow "legal cases", sometimes that's the best course of action: force an Evil Empire to either pony up money higher than their acceptable "loss leader" amount, in theory and hopefully at least paying out the ass to avoid public scrutiny or else take it to court and (hopefully) still be forced to show their yellow-belly and blood-red stripes to the world ... thus either losing (not a lot, but at least some) of their wealth and underserved reputation to the public, and/or fight it under the scrutiny of hundreds of yt channels, with their millions of viewers, and *really* show how their behavior is simply and literally nothing more than intolerable virtue signaling. This is far from the first time that a popular social network (be it YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and/or another) has unapologetically screwed over one of the metaphorical hands that feed them, and you can bet it won't be the last. So until they die under the weight of their not-at-all "social justice", or change their ways to better reflect the opinions held by a good number (if not majority) of their customers (... and yes, I recognize that the *advertisers* are their customers, *not* their viewers), the best-and-easiest middle finger you can give them is to install an ad blocker right before donating via patreon/PayPal gift/etc. To this and any other creators you consider to be an important part of your (online) life. *mic drop* ... and with that, thank you, C&Rsenal, for the awesomeness you provide to us viewers on a regular basis. Hopefully this speed bump will turn into a launching ramp instead of a dead fall. Thank you for all that you do!

Well then, that's nonsense. Your channel has THE highest quality content I watch on YouTube. Some have slicker production, some put out videos more often. But C&Rsenal packs in so much education and obscure history into an entertaining package, it should be held up as a model for what YouTube can be when you look beyond "trending." Yours is the type of channel it should be celebrating as it shows the strength of the platform: creator driven, well researched deep dives into an aspect of knowledge that you really can't easily access elsewhere. Instead because it has scary guns (your show is about as family friendly as it comes, otherwise) that frighten advertisers, you get demonetized.
