No one actually believes covid is "made up", but a lot of folk look at the panic and think it's way frickin overblown, and could have been handled much more simply and consistently.

Bubba'd gats are treasures to be discovered. I'm looking for a a ruined L-E to put a nice sporter stock on and convert to 6.5x54. ;-)

The least interesting man in the world says "I rarely shoot modern firearms, but I do, I shoot a Sub2k." Makes me wonder if Mae would be willing to take one into battle.

It's a responsibility

Can you think the title without hearing the intro yell?
C&Rsenal
We're not unaffected, just not willing to speculate or argue with our own supporters. We have plenty enough to fight about when it comes to Mauser vs Lee Enfield
C&Rsenal
With the twins! Also the dogs episode was messed up. They ate that kid.
C&Rsenal
Given this year, I think people would watch it happily
C&Rsenal
She's never used it unironically

I work for a Mortuary and we deal with people who die from diseases 1000$ more dangerous and contagious than COVID. We were the appropriate PPE all the time. However, with this COVID nonsense I see stupid people walking around in a mask while wearing tank tops, shorts, and flip flops. Then they look at me, not wearing a mask, like I'm stupid for not wearing one piece of 70% ineffective PPE. Brainwashed sheople are brainwashed.

Those hand traps really are neat. Also I’ll come talk some shit if you ever need

The Adventures of Pete and Pete...haven’t thought of that in a month of Sunday’s. Bet it is still great. They need to bring back GUTS for the new generation.
Christopher James Henry
In fairness, it's pretty clear that Othais and Mae's onscreen interactions are substantially affected by their offscreen relationship — whatever the nature of that relationship may be (lovers, kin, friends, etc.). I think that makes the nature of that relationship a bit more relevant — though still entirely up to them to disclose or not — than the details of their private lives more generally. And for a certain type of brain, the uncertainty can be anywhere from intriguing to maddening. Of course, there's a solution that has long been known to fans of various fictional works: head-canons! Decide on a relationship that makes sense to you, assume it to be true unless and until proven otherwise (and, when it comes to real people, don't base your actual interactions with those human beings on it in a way that makes you a douche if you're wrong), and recognize that you may very well get jossed. Personally, I (having such a brain) headcanon Othais, Mae, and Suzie as a polyamorous throuple. Are they? I have no idea, and I recognize that I have no right tobl that information. (I have the right to *ask* for it — Ask Culture forever and ever! Ask Culture Uber alles in der Welt! — but that doesn't give me a right to a reply.) But it makes sense of the onscreen dynamics to me, and pleases me generally, and I'm sticking with it unless and until I have a reason not to.

People with email notifications may also find "redundant" emails annoying.

Personally I am very happy that C&Rsenal is not only politics free but Wu Flu free. There are plenty of other places out there to discuss that crap if that's what people want to do.

Bruce Brodnax Proves the point that you can't say anything on this without setting someone off.

I remember the Tupperware (I think they called it Foreverware) episode of Erie, Indiana. Oh, man, that was something.
Andrey Gardner
"The least interesting man in the world." Sounds like a good parody in the making to me...
Simon Tan
Many bolties, same load bearing? I would hope so to keep the Great Mauser Showdown competitive. I'm just waiting to see the comparison between the various German Mausers against the Schlagelmilts and in particular the Romanian and Greek Schonauers.
Bruce Brodnax
Had to IMDB that. I'm a cusper, so that show was off my radar in the early '90s [too old for the target audience.]
Bruce Brodnax
Just please stop calling it "COVID;" that was what the CCP told their inside man heading up the W.H.O. to name it to obfuscate the fact that this entire global bonfire is their fault. "Kung Flu," "Wuhan virus" or best, "CCP virus" are the preferred alternatives. Let's not forget who to hold accountable for exporting this sh!t everywhere...
Bruce Brodnax
I love it when the newbs haven't watched your back catalogue where you completely skirted this issue & said you intended to continue doing so as your personal lives are none of our business. :-D
Bruce Brodnax
I don't FB much. I GREATLY prefer my new start-up anti-social media platform, GrumpBook. The equivalent to FB's 'friend request' is the "Nosy Neighbor Hello" and your only two choices are "Get off my lawn!' or "Bugger off! Come back again & I'll give you two barrels of rock salt..." Cuts way down on the time-suck of checking your social media feed... :-D

Well that's unfortunate, there's other creators who do post most of their stuff to Patreon. I won't touch IG, FB or Twitter with a 100 yard pole, but would be nice to see the the other media you work on. If posting more content to Patreon causes you to loose more subscribers, would you consider posting them on the main C&Rsenal site or to Surplused?
Robin Roberts
Okay.... If Mae says a sultry "Hello" like that every podcast, I may have to increase my tier.

I also liked a cartoon called Duckula
C&Rsenal

Pete and Pete is one of the greatest shows of all time. I wish they had released all of it on DVD.
Dave Baloga
Who remembers Inside Out Boy?
Will Sullivan
I totally had a crush on Ellen on Pete & Pete. We hypothetically could have been in the same school at the time. If I was held back a grade. Or two.
Arturo Ceron
Rightly so, I don't consider Patreon to be social media either which is why I use it. It's a strange world =)
Brian Smith
Yeah, it will piss someone off no matter what you say about it. So best to just avoid it all together.

I'm reading through "Arms and Explosives" mag right now. I'll keep an eye out for any hand thrower patents if you're interested.

Since I have had at least one message about this: I'm sorry for being cagey about the covid issue. I just don't want to have an argument about it when everyone's minds have already been made up. We can at least all agree on how difficult the resulting situation is.
C&Rsenal
I sincerely sympathize. Patience isn't just a virtue, it's a depreciating resource though. One way or another things will start moving again. Let's just hope it's as peacefully as possible for everyone!

Because when we tried doing that we lost patrons weirdly. I think the constant notifications reminded people to quit! Most people don't think of Patreon as their primary social media it seems.

I can really identify the work at night syndrome. That is my time as well, particularly if I need to write something long. With the COVID issues affecting virtually everyone, there really isn't a clear path forward and the uncertainty is the only thing you can be certain of. My day job is maintaining a farm, which used to have one additional person, but I lost her when schools closed and there was no child care for her two kids. The farmer's markets are pretty much a waste of time and fresh produce has no value beyond being composted if there is no outlet for the little guys. I can't travel to any BP shoots, which of course have all been cancelled. Car shows, same story (so my collection is covered in dust). This has been 4 months of treading water when I should have been getting things done and enjoying my hobbies. I guess the only silver lining is that I won't be paying anywhere near as much in income tax this year. While we've never met, both of your familiar voices is some friendly connection to the broader world. Please, Please keep up the good work!
John Klear
I don’t think shotguns are boring, but they’ve never held my interest. You’re right, though, if you tell the story with context, like you just did, it becomes interesting.
John Stucchi
The trash talk little league episode was classic.
John Stucchi
Pete and Pete, I was just thinking about that show the other day! Watched it with my son and daughter in the 90s.
Adam Junemann
One of my favorites was the Secret World of Alex Mack.
Simon Tan
Tell me about ammo carriage and reloading for ww1 bolties for Project Boltening.

My perception is I already contribute here to support the channel because I value what they do. "Coolpics to IG and FB" to me would fall into the category of helping new people discover C&Rsenal's value, and perhaps lead some of them to become Patreon supporters. So I don't mind if cool pics go outside Patreon first.
Samuel Dunn
Sorry if you get this a lot but are you both together? Or are you good friends?
Chris Marchi
Hurray! Podcast time!
Arturo Ceron
IG and FB? Why aren't you posting cool pics to Patreon first? I don't IG and don't use FB much, but I am a Patron.
