"I feel really bad about redundancy on this podcast", no, keep talking about intersting things over and over silly man, I NEED this to listen to while I'm at work

Jordan Hoyle

I checked out the shotgun page, it looks great!

Dr. B

Was the celebrity Bill Murray?!

Jonathon Payne

Well, that would explain it.

C&Rsenal

Unfortunately that level of detail would require some custom database work

C&Rsenal

hahahaha

C&Rsenal

It didn't have one? It was a private event.

C&Rsenal

Unfortunately by the time we get to 5 minutes it gets a bit heavy to produce. I think you guys should get some exclusive bonuses and there is a lot less production pressure for in-group podcasts.

C&Rsenal

We have a visual process in the works. Stay tuned!

Indeed.sorting firearms by designer would be cool. From what I can see, it appears that John browning wins the pistol division for all time.

I really, REALLY like the layout of the secret page. I think it'd be a great way to organize the episodes/guns, especially if you could link multiple entries (like the M93 or the Kar 88/Gew 91). If you wanted to complicate your life even further, you could make it filterable by country and/or manufacturer. That way you could track things like Mauser development from the Gew 71 on up, even though the episodes cover multiple countries. Ditto all the Gew 88 spawn.

Hilarious about the "battle to pay the check" story! My family went out of state to visit distant relatives, who kept taking us out to eat & paying for everything & refusing my to allow my dad to pay. So he pulled the same bathroom-trick and asked the waitress for the check. "Oh, there's no check... Mr ____ has a monthly tab with us." WTF!?! :)

Brian Foster

I like the "Minute of Mae" videos.

The secret page looks amazing. I would love to see the main episodes in a similar display, maybe with multiple sorting/layout options? Pure date, by country, by category (cavalry, special, infantry, etc) .

Mae Responding: Today I learned. Thanks for fixing last night O!

Jonathon Payne

Did I miss the name of the machine gun shoot?

Andrey Gardner

Does the ongoing shotgun stock repair mean I should support the show with Acraglas? On the 1911 issue, is that bad elements of crowd there acting worse than a certain automatic rifle not in an intermediate caliber brigade? As for the Minute of Mae, I personally tend to avoid anything that short but could appreciate it as a teaser trailer for an upcoming primer. I would be interested in a “Five Minutes with Mae” as a super abridged Primer with an introduction, light box, shooting segment, and what was it like to shoot discussion for non Primer guns. Or I just described Forgotten Weapons by C&Rseneal... On guest interview segments, I have to wonder if they are better suited for wider distribution, much how The Great War made their originally supporter podcasts public. Otherwise, I love the behind the scenes stuff as it make me feel involved as a supporter rather than as a customer tossing money at it. Supporting the art, or is it arms in this case, instead of buying a product. Primer the show and the work C&Rsenal does, is worth more than two packaged episodes a month to me. My own contempt for YouTube helps drive the value up too…

Would there be any mileage in getting a Wikipedia page up and just lazily crowd-sourcing an episode list? It wouldn't be fancy graphic design, just a table that could be ordered ascending/descending on any column, so I suppose you can order by episode number, nation, type, chambering, various dates and have links to other wiki articles on the guns. Have you had outside press at all that could be used as non-original research secondary sources to prove notability?

Alex

Fixed now

David Herman

Not sure how much my perspective matters to y'all but here it is to provide at least one data point. My personal favorite episodes are the ones where we see clear iterative development across the episode. For example, I rewatch the 1903 springfield, the krag, the mosin, and the webley episodes all the time. I also quite like the triple lock epsiode for the same reason. So as far as I concerned, take all the time you need with the 1911 episode

C&Rsenal

Fun fact: Editing the description to say the podcast was fixed broke it again. You MUST re-upload the sound file with every edit.

Sopwith Cameltoe

You came along late enough for it to be worked out. ;-)

Wiley Clough

Interesting, I am not having any issues with playing the podcast. Is it because I only use the app, I wonder...

Greg Boeckmann

Okay I thought it was just me having problems. Par for me right now.

Minion

Possibly more 'Flannie' than 'Wooly' 😉 https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/flannie

Andrew MacDougall

Heavens! The wooly white north of the Carolinas!

Doug G

Oh nooooo! The podcast must have talked about the Pedersen device because it doesn't work now

Jackson Darr

No t just y'all. It isn't there for me either. I'm sure they'll fix it in a minute or two.

Mark Rawson

Oops, no

Austin Minder

I don't either

Alex

I don’t see the audio player or file. Just me?
