Great re-work I really enjoyed this. Something seems to flow better than the original, but even with that said i enjoyed the original too. Keep up the good Work Othias and MAe and all your help and associates. I have learned so much more about the WW! and pre-WW1 decades because of you. I have always been a history person, but most of my studies were in earlier Anerican History. I now realize I have much more to learn before I take my last ride.

Thank you for the reply. Replicas of the Remington New Model Army was what I ment with most popular Cap&Ball revolver. Pretty much every black powder shooter I know in Poland has at least one Remington 1858, because its technically superior to the Colts. Colts are legendary, therefore people collect them. But when it comes to competitions, Remingtons and Roger&Spencers are ruling and winning the medals.

I would like to ask you guys about the future of your reprocussion series: Will you focus only on Colt revolvers like most of the big gun channels do or can I hope for an extended, detailed episode about the Remington New Model Army/Navy/Pocket/Police revolvers? Todays most popular cap&ball revolver deserves such a video and there are only five minute clips about them around.

Not sure how picky you want us to get, but Alaska was still a territory and not yet a state around the 15 minute mark when the different sales agents are discussed. Freaking loved this episode. A lot of those early Primers on pistols always feel “light” compared to later episodes, so this type of episode is super appreciated.

At 0:13:50 you say "cone handle" instead of "cone hammer". Dunno if that's the sort of thing you're trying to catch with the early release, or if it's not worth dubbing over since it's perfectly clear what you meant. At 1:05:30 you mention broom handles not having taper. but they aren't uncommon on whisk brooms. While the most common form of handle is the straight handle made by binding or crimping the straws together in a bundle, there's some with separate wooden handles carved or turned in a wide range of shapes, including round-butted, tapered forms much like a file handle, and I've always assumed these are what the Mauser pistols were nicknamed after.

Based on my impression only I think that this is one of the better episodes. If I was pressed to say why I would not be able to. It just felt right and high spirited. My only negative is about the referrals to not speaking about the stocked versions and needing to save something for the next episode. In my experience watching you guys you never lack for something to say. Just saying. Other than that I was impressed and never bored didn’t want it to end.

Is the pattern for the leather on the holster similar to the version on Lugerman's site. https://lugerman.com/product/mauser-broomhandle-stock/ While I am very much a progressing novice with leather it looks straightforward to replicate. For example there are several available on ebay and amazon. If it is a different pattern I doubt it would be much more complex or difficult. The most difficult part would probably be working without the stock as a form and for fitment. I would like to see what you do have, if possible.

the talk of it being the best of gen 0 reminds me of the Chauchat, you can look at it for all the oddities and faults but remember it was the testbed for ideas so of course it is odd.
