Smoking Frog

An hour plus run time let's go!

Brock Gouett

Thank you, I’m excited for it

C&Rsenal

Soon...

C&Rsenal

Separate, releasing with the special.

Brock Gouett

Off topic question, when can we expect the drach podcast? Is it for next Tuesday or a separate special?

History&Coffee

If memory serves the flask was hated so much that ordnance came up with a stopgap paper cartridge, not like the later combustible ones but the old bite-tear-dump-stuff kind, that was seen as preferable to the finicky spout.

Chris Marchi

Black Powder baby!!!

JPhilibert

Never get bored of the feature length history. πŸ˜‰ nice work

Bruce Brodnax

I don't have the time-stamps, but at a couple points you mentioned some uncertainties of "which Italian manufacturer" went with 1: Colt's source for parts for 2nd series production [Uberti.] 2: The Dragoon w/ the weird latch [It would have to be Armi San Marco (more likely, as I know they made Walker & Dragoon repros) or EuroArms [Frattelli somebody not PIetta; uncertain if they did or not; you could reach out to the Hungarian for more details on them.] But most likely Armi San Marco, I think; they're the only other Italian repro maker (or used to be, they're gone now) that I know for certain made Walker repops & if they did Walkers, they probably did Dragoons too.

Guido Schriewer

I know. still seeing it makes a modern "magnum" looks tiny. but a lar grizz. that's just awesome. other era though. way to go: dragoon and baby dragoon as backup.

Ron

Can't wait till 1851. All those variations, US and London.

Bruce Brodnax

Why limit yourself? I'm looking forward to as far as they want to take this series! 😁

Bruce Brodnax

It's a *horse* pistol. The changes to the Dragoon from the Walker weren't made to reduce the size at all, they were made to address points of failure in the Walker, while still hewing closely to Sam Walker's original requirements.

Bruce Brodnax

^^^^ This.

Bruce Brodnax

Ditto!

Albini family

Looking forward to the 1858 Remington.

Blake Kilpatrick

Great to have Reprocussion episodes back in action. Thanks!

Drizzle

Dropped them both a note, thanks to you and them.

Markus B.

32:20-ish: Effective full six shots. You said five but again, keep it. Lots of users on YouTube will correct you and The Algorithm will reward this level of engagement.

Guido Schriewer

not much smaller than the walker at all. heck that is a biiig revolver.

Brock Gouett

I appreciate the suffering y’all go through for these videos

Dayton Robbins

Beat me to this

Sean Smith

brass was cheaper and easier to work than iron

Brandon M

At 43:58 there seems to be an overlay issue with Talcotts name/dates and his quote.

Ron

re the brass grip frame. Was there a redesign to reduce weight? I think brass is heavier than wrought or cast iron.

Primarch359

So this will release right after this weekend's premier auction? Maybe reference that in the post credit update?

Mitch Hill

Oh this is a treat, I've been looking forwards to the next reprocussion ep for ages!

C&Rsenal

Mae Responding: Ima go to bed now, ya'll enjoy!
