If you want Old Time Radio (OTR) shows from the 30s/40s/50s, go the Internet Archive. There is a lot and it's free. The quality varies from great to poor. So if you get a bad show, just skip it!

Talk mad trash at 4am about yankee gun laws. Yet Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine have constitutional carry, unlike Lower Carolina. 🤔

If I had to clear my house, my AR or M1 Carbine would be my “go to”s

Great job, as always!

Basically Othais is right about the weird counting in Denmark. The Danes don't even get it. We just do it and have to live with it. Imagine the French and German systems of counting having a weird baby.... I like how Othais has a crush on weird Danish guns. However, he seems to forget that he once declared his love to the Danish Krag carbine 😉

I got the answer that I hoped for. Thanks to you both!

Othias: check out "The Big Broadcast" on WAMU.org. They have engineers clean up audio of old radio programs before airing them on their weekly show.

In the Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland), Scandinavia does not include Finland. In other parts of the world, Scandinavia seems to be the same as "the Nordic countries", thus including Finland. By the way, a great description of the Danish numeral system. Fun fact is that the Danes use so many commas in their sentences that there have at times been national comma shortages.

Speaking of patience to repair guns. I’ve been working on one for a decade. I bought it in pieces and missing parts. It was only made 1906-1910 in limited numbers, so info on the internet was limited to 2 pictures of the internals and one drawing. Took years to figure out what parts I was missing. I have it firing now, but it is rough. I located a part a couple years ago that should smooth it up considerably, but took a traveling job that has me home 3 days out of the month. Im determined to get it right though. Its got a weird action that the bolt pivots out the top of the receiver and has to be mechanically adjusted to switch between short long or lr 22’s.

Come on Kevin, let's get this going!
