grip shapes getting worser and worser. it is very very rare I would not be thrilled by a revolver but that spanish pinfire... here we are. slow but nice heaaavy bullet.

Sprag is a device that allows free rotation of a cylindrical part in one direction, and attempts to prevent rotation in the other direction. Not all sprag clutches use cams. Some use stepped ratchets. Some use round bearings in tapered races. The generic industry clutch term is overrunning clutch, but in this case it isn't being used as a clutch. It's closer to a ratchet, but falls outside that specific definition as well.

I think you need to keep looking for a term for a generic anti-rotation device. A sprag is a specific term for a cam used in a sprag clutch--see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprag_clutch. A friction spring wouldn't really qualify as a sprag.
