"Magic Witch Powers", yeah, that made me chuckle
Aric P
I have an original 1911 and haven't had that issue, but I also have another that's cobbled together where I've polished both the feed ramp and chamber (I do love the podcast!) and also haven't had any feed issues. They can be finicky darn things.
C&Rsenal
We cover it in the current podcast but, presently, we have not.

Multiple mags were tried!

On the main channel in the next couple weeks or so I expect to see an episode titled "Minute of Gun Witch"

I think it was due to the different manufacturers and how they machined them is what the Gun Witch is picking up on. (I agree that Gun Witch should be her new moniker.) I also agree with Ivanovitch2885 about the magazine issue. It makes me wonder if a new magazine or a new spring would change that 6th round hang up.
Jonathan Hudak
Amazing episode, great stuff once again everyone! Can't wait for the foreign service episodes!
Ivanovitch2885
Hey, the GunWitch sounds like a good nickname. And maybe a good Tshirt. As far as the 6th round magazine thing, I believe that was documented during trials. Under recoil the rounds tended to shift forward in the magazine and those at the bottom could nosedive or feed incorrectly because of this. The little dimple on the follower was supposedly their fix to add a little friction to the last round to keep it from dipping under the breech face as the spring provided less tension toward the top.

Red Green reference noted.

I know it’s not related to the video, but will C&Rsenal be signing on to Ian’s new streaming service, “History of Weapons and War”?

You might check the internal parts on the Springfield 1911. Original Springfield manufactured parts should all be marked with an "S", if they're missing that, they're likely replacements.
Robert Finley
You said the Springfield Armory was founded in 1877 then stated that the site was approved by George Washington and Henry Knox, I think you are a century late.
Christopher Edward
It was a compliment. Witches aren't all bad :)
ViejoLobo
Sure you've already done this, but check or replace the Springfield slide stop. And the recoil spring.
Corey Croot
After the 'Gun Witch' Comment, my wife said that tonight you'll be sleeping on the couch! lol.

My 1914 Springfield works great. It does not jam when using either 185 or 230 fmj ammo. I think you have monkeyed with Springfield or a lemon. I mostly shoot 185 truncated fmj out of it to baby it since it is a centanerian.

Can never have too much 1911 stuff....unless it's too much Martini Henry stuff ...but we need Rob for that
Markus B.
A certain person in Serbia is going to weep with all these episodes about a modern semi automatic as opposed to obscure European revolvers.... Just pulling his leg.
JSOG
At 42:49,,,,, "Gun Witch" --- TEE SHIRT!!!! - OK, you had one already, but how about one with "The Gun Witch" fondling a 1911??? I would buy a couple...
Guido Schriewer
aren't they the greatest pistol ever issued (but a 210... ok ) can there be any as too much 1911 stuff.. that's like I got enough let enough too much ammo. no way.
William Frank
I am upset that Othias said the line, but didn't have any duck tape on the table. Red Green would be ashamed of you.
Guido Schriewer
who wouldn't sit there with a bunch of 1911 on table petting them. I mean... 1911...
Bruce Brodnax
aka "the 1911 we have at home." Thanks for this. Keep'em coming! Looking forward to your eventual episode on the GP35 [Browning's last, best improved 1911.]
Minion
"...just petting 1911s"
JSOG
At 10:01, you say Rampant "Lion", it should be "Rampant Colt". I think... I could be wrong.
Leslie Alexander
magic witch power!
Guido Schriewer
hey that stocked 1855 looks kind of fun. not nearly as a 1911 though. damn I'm still short of one. plan for next year. but what... classic or modernized...? the muzzleend curves of that remington 53 looks an awefull lot as a wather pp. wonder if someone at walther saw that before late 20s.
Guido Schriewer
can't hate that, can one.
Matteo Manino
It's the all .45 ACP channell now...
JaxaXXX
The segment were Mai can tell the manufacturer with her eyes closed made me laugh. Lovely episode guys! Can't wait for the British 1911 ep.
Mick Gillen
At 4:04 Othas says "founded in 1877" - should be 1777
Michael James Blum
At 10:02 or so, Othias says, "... had originally put a rampant lion." I think the Colt company calls it a "mustang" but it's definitely a horse!
Michael Garvais
Will Gun Witch be a new C&Rsenal patch ?
nick G
We get more??!?
