IIRC, most of the surviving potato diggers are in 6mm Lee [ex-Navy or Marine MGs] which makes feeding them harder than anything else out there, since there's no parent brass available for reloading [now THAT w/b something to ask Prvi Partizan to repop! Woohoo!] The son of potato digger, Marlin 1917s can be found, but of course, part of their conversion for aircraft use was eliminating the flapping link for a linear one...

You keep teasing by mentioning the colt 1895 machine gun. Any thoughts on when you may try to cover it. I'm assuming they are a pain to find in working order and would probably require discussion the Marlin variations.
