I think part of their issue is they're determined to use the Eras Gone mold throwing the Richmond bobo [sorry, technical jargon] instead of a proper Colt repro projectile. Nobody produces a mold for the Savage bullet any more, which has the most modern profile of any of the CW designs (similar to the much later "mankiller" bobo used by the Brits in the .38/200), but was slightly undersize to suit the Savage pistol, which was notorious for being unloadable with the slightly larger bobos all the other Navy-caliber pistols could swallow [iirc. All of this info is from stuff I read decades ago...] But Mike [Duellist1954] has some of the best C&B content on YT, there's no arguing that! I sure hope he can get his legal wrangling w/ Duellist's Den sorted out to the immense dissatisfaction of his nasty neighbors...

Mike Bellevue (duelist 1954) has some pretty good videos on making paper cartridges and modifying repro colts to make them use paper cartridges properly. I’m sure he’d be a helpful resource.
