Yeah, it was an odd one. I launched through Patreon then that took me to YouTube and a few seconds later things got really dark. Weird. Touched the screen and it would brighten up then it fell off again. Well, I let you know, there was no fault with your production and nobody died so I guess we can move on. Love you all

Mae Responding: He has happily started a revolver animation. Never thought I'd see that!

C&Rsenal

Mae Responding: Huh, must be the patreon app. Looks like the desktop versions and YT app do fine.

C&Rsenal

Mae Responding: Yes.

C&Rsenal

Mae Responding: Good catch! O figured that one was small enough of a slip to leave in.

C&Rsenal

Mae Responding: Happened to me for a moment, but just turned out to be my resolution settings on YT.

Bill Morgan

We should never take things for granite, Morty.

Bruce Brodnax

"Granted," not "granite" (sic) But you knew that... Darn autoincorrecter strikes again!

chris

Eleventy, my friends.

Mic

Outstanding!

Timothy Burns

Now I REALLY want to see the animations. Great show. Lots of excellent info on the SKS. I won’t be able to look at my 1951 Tula-made SKS without a little more reverence and pride.

Erik

Delayed animation? How would the South Park kids put it? "OH MY GOD! They broke Bruno! YOU BASTARDS!!" XD

Jason

Great episode! Looking forward to the animations in the public release. Interesting, never noticed the safety difference: my 1949 Tula doesn't have but the 1954 Izhevsk has the spring loaded safety. No YH in circle training mark on the Izhevsk one either.

Bruce Brodnax

Nice to know the Russkies actually made a proper trigger for their skS's; the "stir your finger in a coffee can full of random nuts & bolts" that is the trigger pull on my Chinese Model 56 version is enough to make the accuracy only slightly better than a mid-90s vintage Ruger Mini-30 [which my friend paid $$ for instead of a cheap skS because it had proper magazines and then came to regret when my skS could consistently outshoot his Mini-30! 😁]

Andrew Brown

It’s finally happening!!!!! Yay!!!!!

Troy Janda

The discussion about stripper clips versus magazines is interesting. Keep in mind that a lot of those 7.62 NATO rifles (m-14, FAL) have stripper clip loading as an option. So even the western world had the idea that not having magazines in the supply line could be an issue.

Jonathan Hudak

Never thought I'd see the day where you guys cover an SKS,,YESSSSSS! awesome outstanding job once again everybody!

Glenn Miller

That cleaning kit is awesome. More rifles should have multi-use kits like this, IMO.

Michael James Blum

In the early 1990s, as various bans made AK platform weapons less available in some American states, gun shows and magazines were offering some "bolt on" magazines for the SKS. Most of these were not detachable, they just had the look of a regular AK mag.

Michael James Blum

Oh ho, a Homestar Runner reference.

Michael James Blum

At 29:30 Othias says "handgun", should be "handguard".

Luke Telling

I’m aware. I’ve been a fan since episode 5

Robert L. Mahurin

The magazine question: On that topic, Russia had huge issues going into WW2 with magazine production. It was the biggest bottleneck for the PPSH, & IIRC the SVT was supposed to be issued multiple mags but relied on clips due to production issues. Edit to add: Probably also why AK mags are so overbuilt.

Jake Rutten

Dunno if the issue is on my end, but the resolution of the pro/con sections (the ones with red and green text) seem either out of focus or causing an odd resolution shift.

Parabellum

You’re welcome. the Patreon fund 👍

Guido Schriewer

if russians would have sks in the 1st.. they would have stoped again around belfast again. just kidding. though I wouldn't want to go against sks's with a boltgun.

Guido Schriewer

I am facinated of fixed/thought fixed even if issued more mags, stipper/enbloc fed semis. garand, sks, svt, mas49s, vz52, ag42/hakim/rasheed, g43, safn and johnson. for it was SUCH a advanced yet short lived era.

Guido Schriewer

chincom sks rigs with aweful but cool wooden knobs are SO comfy to wear, too! still dirtcheap.

Guy K

Checks date , public release on Youtube for 1st April ??

Erik Schmitz

Pure sarcasm.

Markus B.

The what? .... This episode has the potential to surprise even the Spanish Inquisition.

CountryRock _2001

Not the first semi auto, or full auto, that they've done an episode on.

CountryRock _2001

I hope that's sarcasm. They aren't doing episodes only on WW1 arms.

Guido Schriewer

WOW! I have a 54 russian. love the darn thing. highly underrated rifle IMO. biggest flaw is that rear sight. fronts hood works great as a russianREDDOT. put hood on target pull that trigger... . very versatile handy capable carbine. love the caliber and sks is just a joy to shoot. man I'd love do ipsc nationals with mine but... can't see those damn plates out there good enough. short stages would be a blast though.

Douglas Killock

Really enjoyed the episode. Just one observation which might be down to my Android phone. After launching through Patreon the brightness fell away really badly and had to keep renewing by tapping the screen. Otherwise, thank you as always

Jason

It's that time of year!

Adam Rose

i was not expecting that!!! Not complaining at all though....

Erik Schmitz

When was this used during WWI?

Minion

Brilliant episode. Ta muchly Bruno, beer's in the fridge. Look forward to seeing how this beastie works

Bill Morgan

You may want to add a "*Dummy rounds" at the roughly 29min mark where you load the magazine and chamber a round (by now most of us take for granite that you never have live rounds floating around in the gun room segments but probably a good idea for the wide release).

Ethan Newman

After so many years, I'm not sure I'm mentally ready to make the jump to modern arms! Either way, I'm looking forward to a great episode!

Tim The Enchanter

Awesome!

Riley W. Andersen

Pinch me I must be dreaming!

Justin S

This whole video is nothing but a cruel effort by Othias to keep teasing that Pieper M1893 Revolver Carbine behind him

Ish Kabibble

"The crazy, autistic boys on Patreon" I'm doing my part!

Primarch359

I expected the comments to be spicy on this one

Luke Telling

From black powder to semi autos. Interesting jump. Looking forward to watching it later
