I love the behind the scenes gunsmithing info we get from the podcasts. It's a machine with NO replacement parts in some cases and you have to make a solution to keep it running or fabricate what you need. And on the similarities between the machining on guns, there is a magic ratio on gears simply because it matches the divisions you find on standard dividing heads used to machine them. A lot of the little quirks about the machined parts is due to the tool standards that made the parts.

I would be interested to actually hear about how these things wear... but that's just because I'm an engineer... I would also love to hear from Bruno's experience in modeling the guns! Especially on what software he uses.
