Oh my God…Mae is my hero! She hung tough!! I love all the videos from C&Rsenal but this one was amazing. Thanks for making me laugh. It’s funny for me as my wife is Filipino and she and our daughter love Asian flavored snacks. As for me…a Long Island boy now living in heavily Asian Fludhing, NY…it’s hilarious. Thank you both!

Othais, you should have had one of those emergency horns w/ a can of compressed air and just let it off any time Mae guessed correctly: it would have added a level of dynamism this project desperately needed. And it would have suitably startled Mae on those few occasions she was right. 😁

Benjamin, thank you for the explanation, I had not thought of "the spread the word" aspect of YT. As i can't stand the ads, if I like a channel enough to watch it regularly, I support it. Kind of out of step with whole 'everything is "free" on the internet, but I am old (hence the 'wood and steel' and old-school - if it has value to you , then support it.

I like how something that would be a big "long-form challenge" video for the average youtuber is C&Rsenal's substitute-teacher video. Even if you wouldn't want to do more of this for the main channel, this is peak content for a possible other channel if you were so determined.

So the first answer is a weird AR based SBR that Othias has mentioned on the podcast (IIRC 123 or 124). It was inspired by one of the guns in a Miami Vice episode and it's peak 80s in terms of tacticool. On your second question: the problem is that the algorithm also dictates whether or not it shows your videos both to new people AND to subscribers. So it's about more than getting paid; it's about actually getting seen. If you don't keep your schedule regular, YT will see that as a lack of engagement and bury the video. A lot of this stuff regarding how YT operates is very esoteric, since they're not really forthcoming about how their systems work. However, the long and short of it is that if you want to keep what you have on Youtube (especially as a gun channel) you have to at least have a regular schedule of content, otherwise YT might decide you're not worth the effort.
