Oh my god- Tactical Casting (Tom) is my good friend! I always thought that his 'tism matched perfectly with y'all, but that the interests were just a little too far apart. I can't tell you how jazzed I am that he's getting some recognition; I have been shipping him US- sized hose clamps for years now because no one is willing to ship to EU (or, as you found out, is WAY expensive). That Gothic Serpent clone that Larry Vickers auctioned off had one of his replicas attached to it, and of course, he got no credit for that. Please, talk with him more, because I am sure that he'd love working with you, in between his own projects (speaking of, he has his own flesh-and-blood clone now, so I find it funny that you call him 'kid').

Regarding Eurotrash harvest festivals: they certainly do exist, but are often more regional affairs with their own dates and structures. Usually they also revolve around local specialties. Italy has wine festivals, France had winen and cider, Helsinki has a herring festival and Weimar has an onion festival. They just don't originate from broad insitutional movements in the same way that thanksgiving does.
