Eh, you'll get used to it. Probably.

Change is scary and I'm not sure I like the school theme
Jeff King
Will you put an episode syllabus at the start of each episode? Quick blurb followed by what will be covered and at what time of the video
Corey Croot
I think the new format is great!
Elling Polden
Perhaps the podcast/patreon could use «study group», «seminar» or whatever you outlanders call it when you gather to discuss lectures and literature/be tryhard? Executive producers could get benefactor/charity credits? «the teaching aids where provided with support from the Elmer C Fudd Fund for propagation of firearms lore» «this lecture is our contribution to the Samuel Yosemite institute’ wheelgun appreciation month.» «This research has been provided by [your name here] scholarship program.»

Ultimately I think getting rid of the wall of guns was a smart idea. I liked it and thought it had a classy museum collection atmosphere, especially since they were all old wooden guns. However multiple times I’ve been watching the show and a family member will walk by and exclaim some variation of “OMG that is so many guns what the heck???” I can’t imagine how much worse it is for someone working in India to see that. I worry that them seeing even a single gun might still be too much.

I’m going to have to give it a bit before I decide if I actually LIKE the background. However, I LOVE the content so I will keep watching either way.

If you're looking to options for quizzes, have you taken a look at Quizlet? I think they have both free and pay options.
Aiden Wilker
For the intro you can do something like an old film reel showing all the aspects of the show. Or you could do a slide projector and effect with motion video of all the aspects
Glenn Miller
Hope that the new format grows the channel. We want you to stay around. Idea for the future - have "old Othias" be a student asking a question of the new Othias as an Easter Egg.

You need a montage intro! An 80s tv show intro montage, with shooting! animation! Beard! With bitchin music!
James G. Jones
I like the classroom. I have Lebel 1886 M93-R35 carbine, in case you'll need one.

The video isn't public yet, it's patron access only.
Squid556
The amount of thought and effort put into the recent updates is beyond anything else I’ve seen for any gun content.
Pedro Henrique Almeida
not gonna lie, I was very skeptical with the classroom thing, but this might actually be cool!

Just wanted to let you know the Swiss karabiner 31 episode doesn't show up on the C&R YouTube channel but it on YouTube ???? Not sure if there is a episode placement issue ???
Edward Sosta
Could you explain the radar graph for the ammo. I primarily watch from my phone and I couldn’t make out what data was being represented.
Edward Sosta
Can there be an old set background shirt either by it self or somehow with the new set background on the same shirt maybe on the back?
Seth Aronovich
Interesting stuff fellas! Although, if you want to get past the YouTube censors, you may need to tweak the classroom format a bit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTXd89t8ngI&list=PLd3UqWTnYXOmx_J1774ukG_rvrpyWczm0&index=1

I vote for the podcast to become Office Hours because they explain everything going on in the class but nobody ever shows up.

I'm one of the hand full of people who do not like the new format. In the pervious format you came across as one of us. I understand that you felt you needed to change to grow, but you come across as distant and formal. For now I will remain a contributor because of the depth and accuracy of the information you provide.

Honestly as cheap as fiber and equipment is these days it's not a bad option. Grounding differenal can be a real pain, fiber eliminates that problem, a couple of places I did It consulting for would lose a equipment in an out building every so often due to ground differential issues. We fixed it with fiber. A 50 home install I helped a cousin with ran about $150 for a terminated fiber cable, a converter at each end, sprinkler pipe to run the fiber in and some assorted small parts.

Oh man! I love the intercom idea for announcements! Could you also do a terrible Muzak over blue screen on white text like the old public access community calendars? 🤔

Couldn’t care less about the background to be honest. I’ve never had a problem with the setup, but I understand if you have. If you change the channel I’ll follow. The only thing that’d drive me away is if it became clear you no longer enjoyed it. Also fun to see you on FocusTripp. The crossover I never expected.

I went to a outside weirdo college, but we had a student armory

For the record, that Ballistol ad was amazing. It was absolutely one of the best advertisements I have seen in a long, long time

"If you enjoyed this lecture/lesson let us know by liking it. If you have a question or comment about it, let us know down below. And if you think you know someone who would enjoy this lecture/lesson and might want to be a student, consider sending it to them. Class dismissed"
