You guys have convinced me that 3D printing is the way to do this. New designs coming soon.

Peter Acworth

A friend had access to a maker space and so it was free. I had several quotes previously in the 100 USD range

TempestVR

I'm beginning to think that I should probably come up with a 3D printed version. In the meantime someone here has created some 3D printable files from my .DXF cutting plans: https://realtouchscripts.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9273&start=10

Tony

What did it cost you to have the parts made?

Tony

I have a 3d printer and would love to be able to print this if someone has the know how and patience to put together the files I would be willing to pay said person...

Plywood is never exactly the right thickness in any case, so within 1/2 mm should be fine. MDF is a suitable material, but I would avoid acrylic because it's brittle and might break with sharp edges.

Peter Acworth

The laser cutting company is telling me ply isnt exactly 6mm or 3mm due to us not having to be metric system here. Do slight differences in thickness matter ? He can do other materials like MDF or acrylic more accurately .

Peter Acworth

I have ordered the parts and excited to build this!

The back servo compensates for the arc movement of the arms, so that the fleshlight moves in a vertical line. It also allows grinding movements forward and backward.

Clayfacer

Could you do a 360 spin of this in action? I'm gathering parts and I don't understand what that back servo is doing
