Its an incredible sight but I imagine the extra degrees of freedom are only useful for VaM, and are not typically supported by .funscript haptic files?

Quisel

Speaking as someone with experience in programming stewart platforms, i have to say the design looks amazing! Imho 6 axis is the way to go and it is a future proof solution. I do not see a problem for scripting because a new vector based standard is only a matter of time. For funscript creation you would have to think in volume, define primary movement axes and extreme positions in a setup step. The script would then just have the interpolation data and a final scaling of the whole coordinate system in a player. Should be doable. Parsing between the old and new scripts would not be a problem. Taking this thing into real 3D -> genius! Kudos to you

Don’t worry, this device is not a replacement for OSR2. Also SR6 and OSR2 are both driven by identical TCode commands. They are cross-compatible and are driven by exactly the same applications (VaM plugin, etc)

Although appreciating your efforts from the engineering perspective I have doubts whether this is not over engineered for its purpose. 1. Price I've paid 75 Euros for the 3 servos for the OSR2+ 6 servos would mean 150 bucks 2. Community support Making scripts for up and down movement is hard enough but 6 degrees of freedom...? 3. Satisfaction Will those additional movements really enhance satisfaction that way that their additional cost is justified? Don't get me wrong I am really glad to be your Patreon. Your work is fantastic. I just hope that you won't bring out a bunch of new devices every month that are incompatible to each other leaving the community left behind.

My paranoid brain is looking for pinch points - will probably have to be extra careful with this one, but I can only see at extreme twists and really bad luck would that become dangerous. That said what a marvel - can't wait to try out the more mature version.

this looks creepy. Like a spider. Just saying.
