Unlike with SSR1 Alpha in this document I have gone to great effort to make sure that this document takes you through the whole assembly process of the SSR1 Beta step-by-step. I have included instructions for the mechanism, as well as both versions of the control electronics: separate components and integrated PCB.
This sucker is 43 pages long and took me over two months to write. This release is very much a first iteration and I expect to add plenty of extra content to it in the coming months.
Also included is a small Arduino sketch that can be used to check that the encoder is working correctly.
I hope you find these instructions useful and comprehensive. Remember that the best place to go if you have any questions at all is the Tempest discord server. I'll be on there, as will other expert members of this community, and I always like to hear your feedback.

(The files are protected with the march password because of an ongoing Patreon security flaw. Check your email. Tempest, the SR6 was and i say "was" AWESOME. but i think i burned something up in it. donno. and i dont even wanna try to get into it and try find out whats wrong with it. with the small tools and careful hands for such things, i know i'll end up f'ing it up worse. so its been collecting dust now for like 2 years. its a real bummer. if you could reach out and point me in the right direct of helping send it off to get repaired, that be awesome. at such a big purchase, im not looking to put much more money into it though, so i decided at $150 max repair cost. so im not putting much faith into getting it repaired. but the SSR1 Beta i just ordered should be a better fit for me anyways. less complex and less chances of something going wrong and more so, a simple up down motion that is more stroke length and higher speeds versus the rest basic strokers. the Keon is great but that one thing about it, has always made me want more. just one more inch of stroke would make that device perfect. i think i might find perfection in the SSR1 though lol.. but i won't be writing a nasty review if it is only 95% perfect :)

Don't be like me & assume that just like every PCB you've ever ordered in your 40 yrs that it needs to be flashed -It's PREFLASHED. Something I've never seen before. Super great! unless you don't know that & go to flash it, erase it and it fails. I still cant get it to flash, or even board info on how to flash. Sitting on a brick for months now (Ordered the day it launched) - until i get around to spending hours investigating.

on unzipping I get: skipping: SSR1 Build Instructions Beta1.pdf unsupported compression method 99... had no problems with previous zips from you. Linux Mint unzip.

It may have gone to spam. PM me and I'll give you the password. STL files are in the last few Maker tier releases. Sometime soon I'll consolidate them into a combined pack, just like OSR2/SR6.
