Start Here! Build instructions for SSR1, OSR2 and SR6 - April 2025
🕑 Added 2025-04-01 20:48:41 +0000 UTCThe purpose of this Patreon is to keep evolving and improving multi-axis stroker robots. I generally aim to get out a release each month and the result of that is finding stuff amongst my back catalogue of posts can be really difficult!
If you are new to my work this is the place to start. I have produced comprehensive packs for the OSR2, the SR6 and most recently the SSR1. At the time of writing the SSR1 pack contains the latest part designs and up-to-date photographs of each build step. The OSR2 and SR6 packs are complete and mature builds, but I haven’t yet incorporated some of the extras that I have created for these two devices in the last couple of years. The latest version of the ESP32 firmware for these devices - Alpha5 - is also attached separately to this post.
I generally recommend that new builders start on the OSR2 before moving on to the SR6 or SSR1 because it's an easier build and modular, but all of the guides include a step-by-step assembly process. Be sure to join the discord server as it's definitely the best place to get help or to swap ideas.
This is my $8 release for this month. SSR1 Beta is in a good place, so I intend to give the OSR2 and SR6 packs an update in the near future, If nothing else to incorporate any new parts or upgrades since June 2022.
None of these devices: OSR2, SR6, SSR1, could not have come about without the help of people like yourself, so I would like to say a big thankyou for your ongoing support!

Any updates on when more ssr1 pcbs wiull be in stock?

Unfortunately that motor would use a completely different kind of control system. It would also require reduction gearing to be able to use the belt drive. You're basically looking at a completely different device.

It could be modified but it would be a significant modification. I tested bearings like those and they are actually very loud, so instead I used greased rails, which is the same as used on similar commercial toys like The Handy.

The machines are built to hold a standard fleshlight or a Kiiroo FeelStroker.

Hi, I just joined. I have a question. Okay, I understand the mechanism and the models you've uploaded, but I don't understand something. What goes inside the tube? Or is the penis held in place with straps or a special, custom-made gel?

Any chance the design could be modified to use these 12x35mm bearings common on 3D printers? Barely fits in the case as-is, but no room for existing shuttle to attach. https://i.imgur.com/01TghYg.jpeg

I had a bad feeling I'd have trouble sourcing the super random motor and I am. I have both a normal 12v DC motor w/ a typical 6-lead encoder (R-B-Gr-Bl-Y-Wh harness color coding) and one without and the SSR1 PCB, what changes to the stock code would be needed and how would it be wired?

Both types of servos can be used, but it's generally easier to use 180-degree servos. Some people like to use a 270-degree servo for twist.
