I think this is also a product of SM doing TOOOOO much with the girls. They should've taken a break after dirty work and come back with a full album in November or even January tbh.
The girls managed to sell it visually as always however sonically, has center 1 or whatever tf center they are, forgotten that they can sing??
Why don't they SING in songs and no I don't need Winter or Ningning to whine these tight high notes, but they have to sing melodic lines AND ad libs etc. We lose soooo much of what makes SM and songs great if you don't allow your artists to decorate and command the songs. With Dirty work it worked but it was needed here.
Let's hope they have a good break until at least April.

WE SLEEP! This EP is all I do not expect from a band like aespa to release. I need bold and in your face productions, never-ending and powerful vocal runs, broken and meaningless English about weird A.I. stuff, alien outfits, saturated colors... There is nothing for me there and I feel like the group is slowly losing what makes it so special to begin with. I'll go back to their earlier stuff and cry in silence.

I’m so annoyed that every time an idol group reaches their peak in popularity/success, they slowly but surely just start doing whatever and the music becomes very “here damn!” And I fear that’s what this comeback is giving me… Like maybe we need to go back to praising Naevis and the ai gods or whatever instead of this braggy nothing burger 😔
