The End of Eva is finally live! Apologies for the long delay on it, but really wanted to make sure I got this one right considering how important the source material is to me. Fortunately, that's one big dream project off the list.
Going to have an update within the week and about what the rest of the year is going to look like for the channel and new things I have planned to try and lessen the length and severity that doing massive projects like this so often creates.
In the meantime though, I'll just say thank you all again so much for your support, and I am incredibly excited for what's coming next. The future once again looks bright, y'all.

So I've rewatched/listened to this video well over 10 times! No exaggeration one of my most favorite Eva video essays ever. If you do decide to review the films there is a part in film one that I've never heard anyone discuss. When Shinji decides to save Rei no matter what, igniting the 3rd impact, Misato encourages it. She's telling him to do what he wants whatever it takes to his own happiness. I enjoyed that part very much at first watch, but was confused cause...wasn't the whole point of the organization to stop the 3rd impact? Then i wondered is that a dig at fans? That they will literally walk scorched earth to get what they want (such as Eva never ending 20 plus years on)? Then 15years later in movie 2 Misato not only will barely speak to him but seems to hate him! Again is this the fans!!!! The very first time I watched the film I was kinda mad. But now I see that there is a lot more to Misato living through her regret of that night and the pilots staying the same. I'm not sure if Misato is the fans surrogate or if the pilots in their never changing bodies are... I figured you'd have great insight into that! If such vid ever happens YAY! I'll be there π. Hey. Ruby. ...thanks. I was honestly worried about you, at that 1:48:ish mark where you were ranting about fans. I've seen people in my life burn themselves out until they hate everything about their art. I've... felt pretty burnt out, myself. So I'm glad, deeply glad, that you stopped the whole bit and looked at me, and said point blank that you want to challenge me, not hurt me. In exchange, I promise not to try to hurt you either.
