Fixes Fatigue. One of the few things I, the bravest one, do fear. Even waking up in the morning, starting to work and feeling that your skillful hands are ‘stolen by evil witches’ until you properly warm up is less shitty. But when you already started working properly, when you enabled ‘auto-pilot’ but suddenly felt exhaustion and inability to properly evaluate what you just did is really awful. You want to draw more! And you have the skill! But you just can’t. And you still continue even knowing that it will be bad. And then you go to bed thinking, ‘when I wake up, I’ll redo it from scratch’. And then you wake up only to understand that, well, perhaps it’s bad, but not to the point of redoing… I fuckin’ hate it! I’m fully aware that now I’m talking about some strange things never experienced by the people who don’t draw. But consider it to be kinda messed up journey to the wonderful world of art.) The drawings of ‘Iris in scars’ were bad only in a single aspect. I was dead when I drew the balloon with her mother’s reaction, and it kept whispering to my ear, ‘redraw, redraw me properly!!!’ Abgemacht. Will do. Also, to not make two posts, I’ll give a few explanations. 1) That’s right, the reference for Iris’ mother is the Bandits Boss Lady from Soviet cartoon ‘Bremen Town Musicians’. But I’ll never admit to it! 2) And the man-eaters like Tanya Camaguey (a character from my unfinished comic ‘Thursday’s Men’) were created after seeing this page with Nikolay Gumilev’s poem in ‘The Tram’ magazine. ... And this is the result: .... 3) But Iris’ mother is not a man-eater! 4) It’s unknown whether Iris’ mom died or left her family. I won’t tell you. Decide for yourself which version you like better. The pictures with the grave and the ghost are there just to make you sad. 5) Iris was VERY frustrated about the scar through her eye. This is her ultimate complex. But how did she get it? O! I’ll tell you in your own time, if we all live long enough. Believe me, it’s so much drama! 6) Happy New Year!
