I have to say, given the material she had to read, Madeleine Reynal actually seemed pretty competent as an actor in some scenes. She had some really weird things that she had to be passionate about and it never felt like she wasn't invested in the scene.

The original was a very affecting piece of work. This one... I always kind of thought of it as a dumping ground for a lot of interesting visual design and strange ideas that just didn't get used elsewhere, and someone took that personally.
