Version 1.26 update notes;
Char (HHP) panel;
Added Append animation library button to append all animations and pose assets from selected character file
Added Append studio button to append studio and lighting from selected character file
Optimize (HHP) panel:
Toggle optimized materials button now only works when a mesh is selected. Character mesh must be selected for it to flip the material link to the proxy materials.
Added a playback toggle which will switch between play every frame and sync to audio. frame dropping does the same thing as sync to audio and is less reliable therefore it is not one of the options
Customize (HHP) panel:
Inside the Deformation and Correction box I added a section for shapekey morphs. These will allow you to toggle things like high heels feet shape, feet shape, nails, adjust body to original character clothing, etc...
This addon has an auto update feature. But you can always click the check for update button and update it yourself if you don't want to wait for the auto update and you want the features now. Be sure to restart Blender after the update completes (It usually takes 2 seconds or less)

Characters are tested with Blender 4.2 however. So they could be missing something for older Blender versions but I am not sure.

Yes. Only the EEVEE setup basics button will not work. But the rest works.
