Her group of friends had been talking about it for few weeks after Lena casually mentioned that she had been extended an invitation to a special event at the club.

“Sorry, ladies, I was checking in with a patient, what did you say?” Kelly asked at a delay, and Lena laughed because this was so typical of the psychologist, who cared about good times, but also preferred to multi-task.
“I was just telling everyone that we’re going to Le Nuage this Friday night,” Lena reported and glanced down at the cold cup of coffee on her desk, which she stood up to refill.
Lena’s philanthropic spirit drove her to work long hours when she could have otherwise been spending that time like other young billionaires of her age, traveling or setting up overpriced make-up brands — but Lena did know how to have a good time, and she was planning to let loose at the club with her friends.

“Okay, I need to get back to work,” Lena piped up, and they all agreed for their own reasons, but only after they solidified plans to meet at Le Nuage at eight o’clock that Friday night.
While her close-knit circle of friends were always a welcome distraction, Lena had a shareholders’ webcast to worry about at four, and she forgot about their plans until later that evening when she messaged their group chat to share more information on Le Nuage.
The lounge had the best entertainment, with all new and upcoming artists about to break on the music scene.
