The Best of Both Worlds - Part 2

Lena had no concept of how sore she would be after having sex with a superhero until she woke up the next morning. She had a sudden new awareness of her muscles when she stood and hunched over clutching at the night table. It inspired her to text Kara right away to request they take up spinning classes again, and then she hobbled into the kitchen to find Supergirl waiting on her.
It was startling to see the alpha standing next to a chair like she was too uncomfortable to sit down. Supergirl jerked to her full height at Lena’s entrance and then her lips twitched with the beginnings of an explanation. “Lena, I just wanted to check on you after last night—”
“I’m good,” Lena lied and stepped forward to grab a carton of juice from her fridge. Her leg cramped up in the process and it took a lot of acting to pretend like Supergirl hadn’t wrecked her.
Elegance escaped her as she fumbled with two glasses and filled them both up with juice. She held one out to Supergirl in the hopes that the alpha would just drink instead of calling her out on her behavior.
“If last night was too much for you—“
“Don’t be ridiculous,” Lena laughed and drank her juice with a cocked eyebrow and a dimple in her cheek from the sourness. “I’m in heat and we have no time to waste.”
“About that,” Supergirl began, with one hand positioned on her hip and a hesitant expression on her face. “We could probably accomplish our goal quicker if you let me knot you. I know it’s a whole other level of intimacy you didn’t bargain for—“
“I’ve never let an alpha do that,” Lena blurted in honesty and thought back to her recent relationship with James Olsen and how often she had to outright remind him to avoid knotting. He had measured up as more of a beta, so the knot wouldn’t have been much of an extra stretch, but Lena had a few principles about sex that she would compromise for no one, not even Supergirl.
Supergirl’s surprise was written all over her face, but what caught Lena off guard was the way she exhaled quietly, as if her alpha was relieved to hear it.
“Consider this a topic like your real identity,” Lena announced sharply, her suspicious eyes narrowing at the alpha as she set her glass of juice down a tad roughly. “Don’t ever ask me again, or your donation of DNA can be given in a cup.” She settled her right hand on her hip and raised a demanding eyebrow. “Are we clear?”
Lena’s clipped tone prompted Supergirl to blink and clear her throat.
“Crystal,” The Super stated, with enough decency to at least look chastised for being as territorial as every other alpha.
“Good, then it’s time for you to leave,” Lena uttered, entirely in no mood to dance around the awkwardness of Supergirl loitering in her apartment when all she wanted was to sit on an ice pack and swallow a couple of Advil.
“I thought since you’re in heat…” Supergirl trailed off with pinched lips, and Lena tried to remain cool and unaffected by the scent of her irresistible pheromones.
“The whole point of doing this is so that I can remain on as CEO. I still have work to do, with or without an office,” Lena murmured, less aggravated as she caught the way Supergirl seemed to fidget with her fingers. It was a nervous tick she had only seen a few times when the Super was stressed, and it confused her to see it now.
“Come back around five,” Lena whispered, much softer despite the way her eyes tracked every move Supergirl made. “I’ll be ready for you then.”
As Supergirl nodded and turned to stride off, Lena received a text and her face lit up as she noticed Kara’s picture. She plucked up her phone with enthusiasm and read the sweet message that her best friend had sent.
Just your daily reminder that you are the best CEO at any of the companies in National City and you deserve nothing but respect and admiration. You certainly have mine. – K.
Her finger was hovering over the letters, but before she could consider how to reply, there was a knock on the door. She checked her security cameras to see Kara standing outside in the cutest pale blue sweater with a collared shirt that was sticking awkwardly out at the top.
Lena opened the door so fast her hair whipped back and she grinned when she realized Kara was holding out a bouquet of purple plumerias. The bashful smile on Kara’s face was almost as adorable as the way she stretched her neck to stand at full height without posturing.
“I hope I didn’t catch you at a bad time,” Kara blurted, and then hung back from the door as if she wasn’t planning to stay.
Lena reached out to grab ahold of her by the arm and pulled her inside before the polite alpha could argue.
“I have a phone call at ten, but that gives me an hour to enjoy your company.” Lena breathed and inhaled Kara’s pheromones, which were softer than Supergirl’s, but still so enticing that her mouth hung open when the alpha walked by.
“Breakfast?” Lena questioned and stepped back behind the counter in search of the Advil bottle.
“I actually just ate, but I’d love a cup of coffee,” Kara replied and stationed herself in front of Lena’s high end coffee machine.
“Make me one too,” Lena smirked and then swallowed down two of the pain meds that her sore body needed after going several rounds with Supergirl.
“What’s that?” Kara asked with a flick of her hand towards the Advil bottle and her eyebrows lowered in worry. “Are you feeling okay?”
“Just a slight headache,” Lena admitted, and then chastised herself inwardly for telling yet another lie.
Kara’s concern was almost as aromatic as the coffee, but the alpha refrained from asking anything else and changed the topic entirely. “So I have a draft of an article written up about your relationship. Maybe we could go over it together and I can ask you a few questions that I think will be on everyone’s mind?”
The oddest sensation of guilt settled in Lena’s stomach. Kara must have spent all night trying to smooth out a story that would sound better than the one the board carelessly gave.
“I don’t know what I would do without you,” Lena uttered without thinking, and then smiled wider in appreciation of her best friend. “You’re the most compassionate person I know.”
Kara laughed the compliment off but she blushed so prettily that Lena openly stared. She wasn’t entirely sure how long her eyes were on Kara, or how soft her own smile had become, but the moment Kara glanced her way, Lena dropped her gaze and helped herself to one of the cups of coffee.
“Alright, lay it on me. I don’t expect you to hold back any punches,” Lena informed her friend and wrapped both hands around her mug to steady herself for the tough questions ahead.
Kara chewed her lip for a moment before sucking in a deep breath and eyeing Lena to make sure she was ready. Lena gave the subtlest nod, and Kara set down her phone to record the conversation.
The alpha opened with a question Lena had been asking herself all morning. “Being the CEO of a multi-billion tech industry, your reputation for hard work and dedication is fast becoming legendary. Are you sure you’re ready to have a baby when your career is just taking off?”
“This isn’t a question alphas are asked,” Lena rebuffed immediately, and from the way Kara’s lips quirked at the corners, it was safe to say her friend expected that.
“True, but alphas aren’t the ones who typically sacrifice their careers to raise kids.” Kara countered, and Lena tried her damnedest not to smirk at the way Kara’s apologetic eyes tried to convey how unfair she knew this line of questioning was, or how biased against omegas.
“I’m not expecting Supergirl to hang up her cape, so nobody should be expecting me to step down as CEO,” Lena uttered, the words coming out of her mouth like she had rehearsed them in her mind. “I’m more than confident that between us we can raise a baby without compromising our work or our relationship in the process. Millions of couples do this every day, and so will we.”
Kara flipped a page in her notebook and squinted thoughtfully before asking, “What do you say to the people who are concerned that being in a relationship with Supergirl will distract the Hero from protecting National City?”
“I think that’s a narrow minded and selfish view of the situation. We don’t expect our police officers, fire fighters, surgeons and politicians to abstain from relationships.” Lena’s tone was sharp, but there was a tremble to her voice as she avoided Kara’s curious eyes. “Can we stop for now?”
“Oh, yeah, that’s uh—that’s good enough for me to uhm—write the rest,” Kara murmured, pausing the recorder and pressing her lips together as her eyes lingered on Lena. “Something on your mind?”
Lena sighed, her smile tense and unable to hide the conflict of her heart. “Here I am
preaching about Supergirl’s right to date whoever she chooses and our relationship is a lie. I’m the one prohibiting her from finding a relationship by entangling her in my deceit of the City.”
“She’s the most powerful alpha on Earth. I don’t think she’d do anything unless she really wanted to do it,” Kara reasoned easily, and moved to pour herself another cup of coffee with an obscene amount of sugar. “But I—I am wondering, and you can tell me to shut up if I’m stepping over any boundaries, but do you want to have a kid right now? If the board wasn’t pushing for it, would you still want to start a family?”
Lena might have consciously been avoiding that question, and maybe it was her heat or her foolish heart that compelled her to speak the truth as she followed Kara to the kitchen.
“Honestly? With the right alpha?” Lena’s anxiety spiked as she stared in longing at Kara, her lips parting to whisper a breathy, “Yes.”
Kara dipped her chin to her chest and Lena worried that her friend was thinking the worst of her for this charade she was pulling.
“You must think me a monster for saying that, for being willing to go through all of this to secure my role as CEO—”
“No, in fact I — I understand what it’s like to do what you believe is the right thing, even if it means living a double life,” Kara croaked out, her eyes shimmering with deep and complicated emotion. “When I first met you, I knew you were special. And as I got to know you more, I knew I wanted to keep you in my life forever, so I never told you, because I’ve been so afraid of losing you, Lena. So afraid, but it isn’t right for me to keep this from you. I need you to know, Lena, that I’m—I’m S—”
Lena’s lips were on Kara’s before she could stop herself, feather light and trembling as she cut off the apology she was sure would spill from Kara’s mouth.
“It’s okay,” Lena whispered as she pulled back, her heart hammering in her chest as she finally confessed, “I want you too.”
Kara burst into high pitched, uncontrollable laughter, then fell into a complete stunned silence with her mouth agape. She surged forward to kiss Lena again, holding either side of her face with both hands.
Their lips mingled and Lena tasted not just the expensive coffee, but a pleasantly icy flavor that belonged to Kara. She savored it and tipped her head back as the alpha surprised her by kissing down her neck and opening the buttons on her night shirt before leaping backwards in a sudden panic.
“Wait—we need to wait,” Kara insisted comically, like she was saving herself for marriage. The cringe on her face brought a mischievous grin to Lena’s and she prowled forward to grab Kara by the front of the shirt.
“Are you worried about Supergirl?” Lena asked, feeling the smallest stab of guilt that her happy heart was slow to acknowledge.
“You have no idea how worried,” Kara chuckled, her laugh gaining volume along with a warble of terror.
“Oh, what, do you think she’s going to beat you up?” Lena joked, and watched Kara nod, just to shake her head as if she was terribly confused by the whole situation.
“I mean, I would beat me up right now, for a whole lot of reasons—“ Kara leaned against the counter with both of her hands stretched out to grab either side of it. “We need to talk, Lena—"
Lena sobered up a bit upon hearing Kara’s more serious tone and narrowed her eyes to question, “About Supergirl or about us?”
Kara seemed all prepared to answer her, but then her phone began to ring, and in her aggravation she ripped it from her pocket and snapped at whoever was on the line. “What? I’m with Lena right now. I came over to interview her.”
Lena could overhear Alex as she gave a good enough reason for contacting her sister. “I’ve got the list you wanted. No less than twenty four hours later into this whole situation between Supergirl and Lena, and there’s already been three hits taken out on her life. I intercepted them all and the DEO is dealing with it. You can’t—ahem, you can’t publish this information, but it is safe to say I can confirm just what you suspected: anyone who is publicly involved with Supergirl is in extreme danger.”
“Yeah, but I’m a Luthor,” Lena butted in and leaned over the phone to press the issue with Alex. “I keep the assassins in this city in business. Without me, this would be a boring first quarter for them.”
“See?” Kara squeaked and there was a smug air about her as she added, “I told youLena would say that.”
“I really hope you know what you’re doing,” Alex sighed in resignation, and for a conflicted moment, Lena couldn’t tell if she was the one being addressed or if it was Kara.
“I’ve survived this long, I’m not about to run for the hills just because a group of idiots found a new reason to hate me.” Lena drawled, and then the line went dead. She squinted at Kara with a hint of remorse for hijacking her conversation and placed her hand over the alpha’s in apology. “I’m sorry. If I’ve caused any rifts between you and your sister--”
“Don’t worry about it, she just worries a lot.” Kara muttered, her eyes rolling toward the ceiling, even though her shoulders slumped. “I guess I do too,” she whispered, like the weight of the world was thrust upon her shoulders.
“I’m a big girl, Kara, and I know what I’m getting myself into.” It was supposed to be a comforting reassurance that Kara didn’t have to worry about her. Though from the way Kara’s sad eyes met hers, Lena doubted she had put her friend at ease. “If this is too much for you, I’ll understand. We can just forget that we—”
“No, no that was—Lena, that meant everything to me. I’m not going to just forget it.” The firmness of Kara’s voice was so resolute that Lena’s stomach went a little funny. The alpha turned to face her, and the scent of her seemed stronger for a moment. “I don’t want to forget it.”
“I don’t, either,” Lena admitted, and all the hope she had been reserving filled up her chest until she felt as light as air. “Why don’t you come by tonight and we can have dinner and talk?”
“T-Tonight?” Kara stuttered in surprise, her wide eyes startled behind her glasses.
“Around eight o’clock?” Lena suggested, praying that Kara wasn’t about to flake on her now that she was making a move. “I know it’s a little last minute—”
“Great is eight,” Kara blurted, her cheeks turning a vivid and splotchy red as she laughed in embarrassment. “I mean I’ll be there—here, at eight. I should go. Gotta finish this article so it can be printed tomorrow.”
Kara was rambling, so flustered that she moved towards the balcony before about turning to rush towards the door.
Lena found herself alone and staring at the place that Kara had occupied, but she didn’t have the time to dwell on her best friend’s odd behavior.
She rushed through a shower, brushed her teeth, and threw her hair into a messy bun while dialing into the conference line where she would be talking to the board.
One benefit of working from home was that no one could see the blush on her face or breathe in the scents of her heat.
She listened while Anthony White made a few insane proposals related to promotion and marketing, though her attention span was diminished with two sets of alpha pheromones in her apartment – the softer fragrance of Kara, and the dominant notes of Supergirl.
Somehow she zoned out enough that Anthony had to repeat her name twice. “Lena? Lena? Did you hear what I said about making a public appearance?”
“Public appearance?” Lena asked uncertainly and rubbed at a muscle in her neck that felt kinked.
“With Supergirl,” Anthony clarified with a gruffness to his voice, like just thinking of the superhero was bringing out his macho side.
“This is the time to feed the press,” came another voice, belonging to Jonathan McConnell, a cantankerous board member who was always in contempt of Lena’s plans. “Don’t you want to go out with your mate? Make some reservations, feed the rumor mills a little bit—“
Lena wasn’t sure what she found more repugnant, the fact that McConell was talking to her like she was his granddaughter, or the fact that he was actively encouraging her to perform publicity stunts.
“I’ll get Miss Luthor a reservation at the Rainbow room,” Anthony offered, as if the entire matter was settled and Lena had agreed. “How is seven o’clock tonight?”
“I actually have plans—“
“Rearrange them,” McConnell gruffly demanded, leaving no space for argument. “You need to be seen with Supergirl. I understand keeping your relationship a secret for her sake, but now that the cat’s out of the bag, you should be seen on Supergirl’s arm at every opportunity.”
Lena wanted to argue, but the board was so excited about their scheming that she couldn’t get a word in edgewise. She was aggravated by the fact that they tried to make it out like they were doing her a favor by green lighting her relationship with Supergirl.
When the call ended rather abruptly with Anthony announcing that he had booked the table, Lena let out a snarl of frustration and resigned herself to the two unpleasant texts she would have to send out. She had only just asked Kara to come over for dinner so they could talk about their feelings, and now she had to cancel to go on a date with Supergirl.
“This is a fucking mess,” Lena grit out as she frantically typed a message to Supergirl.
We have a problem. Corporate booked us dinner reservations at the Rainbow Room for 7pm. If we don’t attend they’ll suspect something.
She hit send without worrying about it and then paced while she tried to compose a heartfelt message to Kara that wasn’t just a litany of apologies.
The board just blindsided me by reserving a table at 7 to have a public dinner with Supergirl. I’m sorry, Kara. I hate to do this, but can we reschedule?
Lena’s hopes sank faster than a flooding ship when she received a two word reply: Of course.
Supergirl never even bothered to respond to her and it put Lena in a foul mood as the day dragged on. She completed all of her work and spent the afternoon pampering herself – not for Supergirl’s sake, or because they were going on a date, but to avoid the guilt that gnawed at her when she thought about her complicated situation.
A better person would have canceled plans with Supergirl and told the board the truth, and yet Lena was still clinging to the idea that she could handle juggling the lie. She wondered if it would compromise her friendship with Kara, or any other relationship they might have explored if not for the decisions Lena had made.
After soaking in the bathtub and agonizing for so long that her fingers pruned, Lena dried herself and put on a short dress with one ruffled shoulder and a pair of black patent stiletto pumps to match. She gathered her hair up and nearly stabbed herself in the ear as she pushed in her earrings.
All in all, she looked presentable and like a woman in love, even if she was still waiting on Supergirl to accept the dinner invitation.
She set out for the restaurant without hearing back, and pondered all of the headlines she might read in the morning paper if Supergirl stood her up.
The waiter who greeted her seemed to know that Supergirl was expected, because he craned his neck behind Lena very blatantly and frowned when he asked, “Are you alone?”
“No,” Lena blurted in anger and repeated herself one too many times, “No, no, Supergirl is on her way. She should be here any minute.”
She followed the waiter to the table, and just as she was about to sit down, Supergirl came out of nowhere just in time to pull out her chair.
“I was beginning to think you weren’t going to make it,” Lena remarked and turned to see the alpha wearing a very different kind of suit—impeccably tailored with a silk tie in Supergirl’s signature colors.
Lena stared for far too long to be considered polite, and then cleared her throat as Supergirl’s hand remained on her back while tucking her into the table.
“I had to deal with some very bad people today,” Supergirl admitted and then curled her lip comically like she was trying to hold back colorful language. “Apparently the fact that we’re dating has made you much more of a target than I ever foresaw. Don’t be surprised if we barely get through appetizers before I need to whisk you off to safety.”
Supergirl’s mood shifted after a second, and then she disappeared only to return with a bouquet of red and blue flowers.
Lena wasn’t sure what to do with them at the table, but she knew their pictures were going to be plastered everywhere within half an hour. From her peripheral vision she could see the blatant way people gawked with their phones out, and the not so subtle flash of one or two of them going off before waiters diligently put an end to it.
Lena sniffed the flowers with a small, strained smile on her lips and then set them gently down.
“So, other than dealing with assassins, how was your day?” Lena asked politely.
She was acutely aware of how everyone in the restaurant had collectively held their breaths to try and eavesdrop.
Supergirl looked just as uncomfortable at being at the center of attention, and opened her menu with a sigh that almost scattered the petals off the flowers. “Yeah, it was mostly classified stuff. Do you know what you want?”
Lena chewed her lips and eyed the crowd gathering outside the restaurant and trying to peer through the window at them.
“Privacy,” she murmured, her gaze flicking back to Supergirl before she opened her own menu to peruse the selection. “Well, since I might die before the main course, how do you feel about starting with the dessert?”
“Let’s have dessert and get our entrées to go,” Supergirl suggested with a glance over her shoulder at a thick-necked alpha that was snapping a photo with an actual camera. He clearly thought he could be inconspicuous by standing behind a leafy plant and shuffled a few steps to the left when he noticed he had been spotted.
“Great, so we’ll try everything on the dessert menu,” Lena informed the waiter, who was hovering at the ready to tend to their every need.
As awkward and weird as it felt, Lena reached out to hold Supergirl’s hand. A strange tingle went through her fingertips when they touched, and it put Lena more at ease with showing physical affection.
Her heat was still raging, and the scent of it broke through the splashes of coverage perfume that she wore. She breathed in Supergirl’s pheromones as they responded to her omega arousal with scents that no human alpha possessed. It came at her in drifts, like a breeze off the ocean.
“I almost forgot, I bought these for you.” Supergirl coughed and handed Lena a very big and very crinkled paper bag.
Lena peeked inside of it to find a fancy box of Parisian chocolates and a whole bunch of pregnancy tests.
“You do know how human reproduction works, right?” Lena squinted and rolled the bag shut before some nosy person could check out its contents. “It will be weeks before we can find out if I’m pregnant.”
“Weeks, right, I knew that.” Supergirl licked her bottom lip and nodded while glancing sideways at the heaping tray of desserts that the waiter brought over. “It’s just good to be prepared for when that time comes.”
“And you thought bringing this to a date was the right move?” Lena questioned with enough disbelief that Supergirl blinked back at her with a small, sheepish smile.
It made Lena question a few things, and she waited until their table overflowed with different cakes and desserts before tactfully asking, “Had you ever been with a human before me?”
Supergirl’s fork paused mid lift and the chunk of tiramisu wobbled as she met Lena’s curious eyes. She swallowed before sitting up straighter, her own eyes shifting to the table.
“Would that matter?” Supergirl asked, eating the forkful so fast that Lena missed it.
“A simple yes or no would suffice,” Lena retorted and took a stab in the dark when the Super still remained silent. “I’m not bothered if I’m your first.”
“My first?” Supergirl squeaked, her ears turning a vivid scarlet that might have been mortification or anger. It was difficult to tell with the potency of her alpha pheromones, and Lena rubbed her thighs together because her heat wasn’t making things easy.
“Human,” Lena reiterated around a mouthful of pie, a little amused by how sensitive the alpha seemed about the topic.
“Well I—” Supergirl began, viciously digging into a slab of brownie that was drizzled in warm chocolate. “I’ve dated someone in the past, but they weren’t human.”
There was a level of self-consciousness about the alpha that intrigued Lena, but before she could comment on it, Supergirl posed her own question. “Am I the first alien you’ve dated?”
“As far as I’m aware,” Lena murmured, savoring the taste of a caramel tart by sucking on her spoon. She noticed the way Supergirl’s eyes darkened as her lips locked around the silver, and she quirked a brow suggestively.
Supergirl averted her eyes and made a play for the strawberry cake that Lena had been coveting.
“Would you still be interested in seeing someone if they came out to you as one?” The alpha asked and then stuffed some cake into her mouth, which in turn covered her lips in an excess of cream.
Lena wiped it away with the pad of her thumb as she gave the question her serious consideration. “It depends entirely on the person. I wouldn’t reject someone outright for being an alien. I’d just prefer them to be honest with me from the start, but I would understand if they were afraid because of what Lex did to Superman.”
After sticking her fork into the piece of strawberry cake to share it with Supergirl, Lena paused and thought back to her earliest days in National City. She had idolized Supergirl then and truly believed they would never find themselves at odds—that they would become trusted partners in keeping the City safe and even confidantes.
“To turn the situation around, I thought you might tell me your human identity in the beginning,” Lena admitted with a blush as she remembered being in Supergirl’s arms on more than one occasion. “I’ve always understood your need to keep that secret. I hoped you would come to trust me, but then I realized in your case it’s more complicated than just building trust.”
Supergirl frowned, her eyebrows curved downward as seemed to think over Lena’s comments with seriousness. “I just want to put your safety first,” she whispered and peered around at all of the onlookers who pretended to be minding their own business the second her head went up. “It’s what’s best for you and now what’s best for our future children—I mean baby.”
On some deeper instinctual level, Lena’s omega responded to that with a desire to be bred.
In hindsight, she would realize that it was one of many moments when she should have felt conflicted and guilty when factoring in Kara, but didn’t. It seemed her omega and sex drive had an awareness that she lacked in mental acuity.
At the time, she tried not to melt in her hormones over Supergirl’s words and said nothing about the comment related to children, plural.
Supergirl took her hand, and for a fleeting minute, Lena allowed the contact. She even experienced a genuine warmth towards the alpha that she didn’t have to fake.
“On the subject of safety,” Supergirl continued in a softer and discreet tone. “I thought it would be a good time to discuss your recent experiments with Harun-el. I’m sure you realize that because the baby will be half Kryptonian, you shouldn’t be anywhere near the stuff, let alone stockpiling it at L-Corp—”
Lena’s mood shifted, slow at first because of the alpha’s pheromones, but then Supergirl’s manipulation hit her.
“Is this the real reason you agreed to help me?” she hissed in outrage, her teeth forming perfect rows that were a threat, despite how close she seemed to smiling. “You think you can police my activities at L-Corp?
“No—no, no, that’s not it at all,” Supergirl argued in distress and reached out to try to placate Lena with touch. “This is just a biological fact of Kryptonian life. I wasn’t sure you had thought out all of the particulars—“
“I’ve built you entire Kryptonite shields, and you think I haven’t thought about how to conduct my research safely?” Lena’s tone soured and she shoved her chair back fast to pass her credit card off to the waiter without any thoughts about how that would look. He ran off with it as Lena left the table and stormed through the restaurant.
At any time, Supergirl could easily rush after her, though that didn’t stop Lena from being dramatic.
She reached the door, the waiter delivered her card to her on a small silver tray, and that was when she recognized her mistake.
Everyone was observing her behavior, which meant without question it would all get back to the board of L-Corp. She only hesitated to return to the table because that would seem like groveling, so she had no choice but to step outside – but what happened next brought her to her knees literally.

That does make sense it would be on social media, but your best friend not texting you after an attempt on your life is weird, even if she knows Supergirl rescued you and you're both used to it. So I still stand by my incredibly perceptive and not at all flawed comment. *stubborn arm cross* And yes, Lena is the constant reminder, as I've said before, that there's a reason WIS and INT are different stats in pretty much any D&D-like rpg.
Haha, it’s kind of just implied that people were filming their date and taking lots of photos to post on social media (which Kara would have seen maybe with the attack broadcasted or covered by CatCo) but yes Lena is blind and she’s like “wow these lips taste familiar, wonder why” lol - she’s still a genius though okay. 😉
