Lena Luthor had never turned down an invitation to an Omega Society charity luncheon before, even if it was hosted by someone she despised. As the head of the Luthor foundation and the owner of her own successful corporation, she had a duty to appear at events and make a sizable donation. Her few closest friends often attended, along with quite a few of her enemies — omegas she knew from business and snobbish socialites who she had known practically from the cradle. They dressed in their pastel designers and wore their hair in perfect coifs with their nails painted to coordinate with their handbags.
As one of the younger members of the society, Lena stood out in her darker clothes that just matched with her sense of humor. She wore a bright red lipstick to almost every affair and spoke her mind loud and clear whenever anyone asked her opinion. Most luncheons included a raffle or an auction of gift baskets, and Lena often walked away with items she wouldn’t use.
She expected no different from the luncheon hosted by Rhea Gand, an older omega of privilege whose charitable cause involved orphaned refugee children. Lena had purchased three tables at twenty thousand each, and she was prepared to drop more on the auction when she realized that Rhea was auctioning off alphas, not gift baskets.
“You’re not honestly going to participate in this ridiculous meat market,” Lena criticized as she took her seat next to her friends Andrea and Sam and noticed they had their auction paddles at the ready. “Apart from being in such poor taste, this is degrading for the alphas who have been asked to sell themselves to the highest bidder.”
“It’s for a good cause, Lena, and the alphas don’t seem to mind it.” Andrea gestured to a place on the stage where a brunette was standing in her underwear and giving the audience a show by flexing her muscles. “That one’s a firefighter. Do you see the abs on her? I bet she could carry me out of a five-story building and give me several orgasms without even breaking a sweat.”
There was a big sign at the front of the room advertising Rhea’s “Available Alphas” and Lena could smell the enthusiasm of every omega around her. Several of them were already fanning themselves down with their paddles.
“Shall we start the auction now, or shall I let all of you drool over your choices a little longer?” Rhea asked through a microphone and stepped closer to center stage to catch everyone’s attention.
Everyone at Lena’s table sat up taller with her paddle at the ready.
“I don’t need another gift basket filled with crap hanging around my house, but I wouldn’t mind having her in my kitchen, my living room and bedroom,” Andrea muttered as a redhead walked towards Rhea and struck a pose.
There was an instant bidding war for the alpha, and Lena watched in disbelief as omegas fought cattily right up until an older business woman won with five thousand dollars.
“Five thousand is a lot more than any of us would pay for a gift basket,” Sam whispered, as if to rationalize the benefits of holding such an auction for charity’s sake.
“Yeah, Lena, think of everyone Rhea will be able to help because of these horny desperate omegas,” Jess commented and sipped at her Pinot Grigio with a mild smirk on her lips.
“This is awful,” Lena argued, even as her eyes tracked after a blonde alpha who had just stepped onto the stage.

“This is my personal pick,” Rhea bragged as the blonde came to a stop at her side. “Kara Danvers - an alpha who I would describe as a Casanova. I’ve seen omegas throw themselves at Kara’s feet.”
“I bet you have,” Andrea murmured under her breath, her teeth sinking into her lower lip as she openly lusted over the alpha.
“Let’s start the bid at two thousand,” Rhea announced, and Lena scoffed at the way paddles shot into the air.
“This is disgusting, where the hell is everyone’s self-respect?” Lena muttered while lifting her own paddle up. She caught sight of Veronica Sinclair, a sharp socialite who was trying to outbid everyone else.
Sam wheezed on her laughter and elbowed Andrea to stop her from bidding. “Yeah, this is the worst,” she teased, paying no mind to the way Lena shot her a look before glaring at Veronica, who met her cold stare with a smirk.
The price kept climbing, and Lena’s fingers twisted around her paddle with growing unease when Rhea laughed, “I think we’ve reached a new record. Six thousand.”
“Seven!” A brunette from another table yelled, much to everyone’s delight.
“Eight thousand,” Veronica countered without blinking an eye.
“Eight thousand,” Rhea exhaled, her grin bright as she gripped the mic. “Going once, going twice—”
“Fifteen thousand.” Lena blurted, shocking the hell out of herself and everyone at her table, especially Andrea, who inhaled her drink with a gasp.
“Going once, going twice,” Rhea shouted with emphasis and then waved at Lena with a glitter of intrigue in her eyes. “Sold to Miss Luthor for fifteen thousand dollars.”
Lena blushed so red it was as though someone had smacked her across the face. She ducked a little in her seat to avoid the curious glances of omegas from all around the room.
Consoling herself with a big gulp of wine, Lena tried not to gawk up at the alpha who she had just purchased for no modest fee. It proved hard, because Kara was smiling at her and stepped towards Lena’s side of the stage to wait for the auction to be over.
To save face, Lena flipped open the booklet that included a bio on each of the alphas. She read through Kara’s short description with an almost covetous sense that she had gotten the best of the group.
“So, Lena, share with the class, how are you justifying your actions?” Sam asked with a soft coo of mischief and her chin propped in her hand.
“You’re always telling me to get therapy, and it says right here that Kara is a therapist.” Lena trailed off with an exaggerated blink and tried to cover up the booklet as Sam squinted down at it.
“Yeah, a sex therapist,” Sam emphasized in victory and lifted her hands in praise. “Lena Luthor, you filthy little omega. You are going to hit that so hard. Don’t even try to deny it.”
Lena scoffed as if the idea was preposterous, but she stared up at Kara with lustful bedroom eyes.
Over a year had gone by since Lena went on a date, and before that she had only slept with two people. Both had failed to impress her with their performance and her orgasms fizzled out before true pleasure struck. Lena didn’t dare mention her disappointing sex life to her friends, but if Kara could give her some practical advice on the subject, she wouldn’t turn down the opportunity.

It took Sam’s nudging before Lena even decided to approach the alpha, and after all of that, she just passed off her business card and told Kara to schedule their date with her assistant Alana.
Lena couldn’t have been more impersonal, and after leaving the event, she was overcome with regret that lasted for a full day until she heard from Alana that she would be spending Friday night in Kara’s company.
Having never uttered a word to Kara, it was hard for Lena to determine a suitable date night activity, though she made reservations at her favorite restaurant. She even bought a new dress for the occasion — tight and red, and almost half what she paid for the night out with Kara.
Lena wasn’t about to give her address to a stranger, so Alana arranged the pick-up for outside L-Corp.
This gave Lena the excuse to work until the very last second, though her chosen distraction couldn’t keep her attention the way she had hoped. She showered and dressed in the en suite to her office, which was more like her second home at this point.
The closer it came to six o’clock, the more her attention wavered, and she caught herself checking her phone for any messages. There were a few from Sam and Andrea inquiring if she was excited for her date, and she snorted at their assumptions.
Lena gathered her clutch and stepped into her personal elevator as she called Andrea. All of her expectations were sinking faster than she was on the way down.
“She’s late,” Lena muttered the minute her friend picked up, her tone surly and smile tight as she stepped into the lobby and saw no sign of the alpha.
“By your standards,” Andrea pointed out, her amusement filtering down the line. “By anyone else’s she’d still be early if she arrived now.”
“I appreciate punctuality is all.” Lena insisted, ignoring the fact that she was anxious about the night and already wondering if she should just cancel it.
“Aren’t you the least bit excited?” Andrea prompted, and when she was met with silence, she carried on optimistically, “I heard Eve telling Veronica that one of her friends had a session with Kara months ago and the omega still raves about it being the best she ever had. As far as I know, everyone that’s seen the alpha has her on speed dial.”
“Since when did I become everyone?” Lena muttered, striding out to the front steps to smile politely at her chauffeur, who was already standing beside her car.
“If you’re not going to sleep with her, then send her my—”
“Goodnight, Andrea.”
Lena hung up before her friend was tempted to go into detail and scowled down at her phone which read 6:01.
“Late,” Lena sighed, her lips puckering when the sound of a motorcycle revving broke through her thoughts.
She glared at the rider until the person stepped off the bike and lifted her helmet to reveal lustrous blonde hair that bounced around leather clad shoulders.
Kara strode toward her with the kind of confident swagger that captured all of Lena’s attention, and she realized belatedly that her mouth was open.
“Hey,” Kara beamed, her smile bright and catching as she offered Lena her arm. “I have another helmet for you.”
“No, we’ll take my car,” Lena blurted as a spike of panic upped her heart rate. “I paid for a date, not to be cast in an action movie.”
Kara didn’t appear to take any offense, though she did dip her head with a bit of a laugh before stepping closer to whisper, “You paid for an experience, Lena, so let me give it to you.”
In a black leather jacket with diamond stitch details and a pair of trousers to protect from the wind, Kara looked carefree and made for speed. The alpha’s pheromones promised adventure and sex, and Lena let indecision hang over her for all of two seconds before reaching for the extra helmet that Kara held out to her.
Kara adjusted it once she had pulled it on over her head, and then helped Lena to slide onto the leather seat.
Lena removed her heels and tucked them into the satchel at the back of the bike. “I’ve never ridden an alpha before — I mean motorcycle. I haven’t been on a motorcycle before.”
Her humiliation blanketed the air with scent before they even left the parking lot.
“The key to both is to hold on tight,” Kara replied with delight in her voice and moved Lena’s arms into a position where she could cling to her waist.
Kara knocked the kickstand out from under the bike and turned the key, and before Lena had time to change her mind, they were driving through the city and weaving through the traffic.
She was ashamed that she screamed when they accelerated, but after a period of adjustment in which she became bold enough to look around, Lena started to enjoy the rush of the experience.
Lena almost started to think that she would have a good time with Kara – at least until they pulled up to an obscure looking arcade, and she considered the dismal prospects of what that could mean.
Hopping off the motorcycle first, Kara retrieved Lena’s heels from the satchel. Kara’s leather gloves were cold on the sole of Lena’s foot, and Lena shivered when the alpha guided her toes into the expensive shoe. There was something intimately chivalrous in letting the alpha help her into her Louboutins, and Lena was unprepared for how flustered she became from such a simple gesture.
It lasted about two seconds before she glanced up at the neon arcade sign where she assumed they would be going.
“I can’t believe this needs to be said, but I’m not exactly dressed to play laser-tag.” Lena’s blunt approach was less than sweet and Kara laughed at her obvious discomfort.
“No, you certainly aren’t,” Kara agreed, her gaze trailing down Lena before flicking up to meet her eyes. The scent of her attraction was musky and rich and Lena linked their arms together, lest she make a fool of herself by stumbling.
“Lucky for us that’s not where we’re going.” Kara’s vague response could have meant they were going anywhere, and Lena wasn’t entirely sure if she was happy with that.
“Are you always this enigmatic?” Lena mused, glancing up at the alpha with a flutter of her lashes as Kara led her down the busy street. “I’d like to know what I’m getting myself into here.”
“Nothing you can’t handle,” Kara assured her with ease. “Besides, it’s good to get out of your comfort zone once in a while.”
They stopped outside an aquarium that looked closed, and Lena quirked a dark eyebrow that said she was judging the alpha for her poor taste in activities.
The door opened when Kara nudged it with her shoulder and the alpha held it for Lena until she finally stepped inside with a curious look around. The quiet sound of laughter echoed from down a hall and Kara coaxed her along with confidence. “My friend put together a pop-up restaurant tonight, and I thought you’d enjoy the new dining experience.”
Kara led her into the heart of the aquarium where a restaurant was set up beneath an underwater bridge for sharks and fish. Escorting her to a table, Kara kept one hand on the small of Lena’s back and pulled out a chair with the other.
“So, is this how you seduced enough women to earn your title of casanova?” Lena asked after a perceptive glance around at all of the other omegas that appeared to be charmed by their dates. “A fast ride on your motorcycle, a pop-up restaurant, and the panties come off?”
She would never be this blunt with someone she liked under normal circumstances, but she wanted insider knowledge of how alphas operated.
Although Lena had never dated an alpha, they seemed like such an arrogant class of people and she figured she could understand them all better if she picked Kara’s brain.
“No, the panties come off later,” Kara answered, as if stating facts rather than a hypothetical, and then she picked up the wine menu without dwelling on it.
Lena scoffed at the alpha’s answer and watched the way she ordered for them both without consulting Lena on what she would like.
“Awfully presumptuous of you to make choices for me.” Lena noted, expecting a little attitude or rebuttal in return. What she got was all of Kara’s attention, and she squirmed in her seat when the alpha put her on the spot.
“Why did you pay fifteen thousand to spend a night with me, Lena?” Kara asked with an amused squint of her eyes. She spoke in a hush so as not to be overheard and accepted the bottle of wine that was brought over by the waiter to pour a liberal amount into Lena’s glass.
Lena gulped down half of it in an attempt to compose herself, though her embarrassed scent still permeated the air. “The money is for a good cause—”
“You donate ten percent of your wealth every year to charities. You didn’t have to bid on me.” Kara cut in playfully, watching every lip bite and rosy flush that appeared on Lena’s cheeks.
“What do you want me to say, that I’m attracted to you?” Lena asked as a final resort and attempt to regain some pride. “I’m attracted to you, Kara. You just looked so good in your underwear that I thought if I purchased this date, I’d get to experience that.”
Her sarcasm sounded much too true, and she tucked her napkin in her lap with curiosity as Kara released some distinctly sexual pheromones.
“That, and you want my advice.” Kara emphasized as she beckoned the waiter over, who had hesitated a few feet away from the table with their plates. She lifted different appetizers to feed Lena, bringing each up to her mouth as they watched one another intently from across the table.
Lena sampled the food and placed a hand on Kara’s wrist as the alpha touched the side of her face and wiped away some sauce with a thumb.
“I didn’t order for you to limit your choices, but to open your eyes to something that maybe you don’t even know you want,” Kara cryptically admitted while caressing her, soothing all of the prickliness out of her with a gentle touch. “You’re not like the other omegas that participated in the auction. I’m sure you planned for this night to be like any other business meeting, but that’s the last thing I want.”
“What do you want?” Lena whispered, finding that she was mesmerized by how Kara handled herself, even at the dinner table. Kara’s every small movement was graceful and bold.
“I want you to relax and treat this like an actual date,” Kara informed her and shifted over to steal the napkin from her lap, with a hand lingering just a moment on her knee. She gave it back to Lena to use and awakened tingles in her from the smallest bit of bodily contact.
“Would you have said that to anyone who won the auction?” Lena questioned, her eyebrow shooting up as she studied Kara’s face as it tinged red for the first time, and it was finally the alpha’s turn to become flustered.
“No, to be honest, I find you attractive,” Kara conceded with a shrug and a small smile that widened to a grin. “I think I’m allowed to enjoy this experience too.”
“And how would you like to enjoy it?” Lena pressed, though her voice was too quiet and rapt to be demanding.
“By getting to know you, really know you, and if you’re up for some enthusiastically consensual fun later tonight, then we’ll make plans for a second date. Either way, we could make plans for a second date.” Kara was cocky in laying it all out for Lena, but the alpha had an endearing quality too when she sat up straighter in her seat.
“What if you find me boring?” Lena challenged, in spite of the interest that scorched through her and soaked her cunt with palpable eagerness. “What if you spend the next hour in my company and you think I’m a bitch?”
“Not likely,” Kara easily replied and propped an elbow on the table with no regard for conventions. “You’re pretty good at flirting and I could watch you lift your eyebrow at me in clear judgment all day.”
Lena smirked despite herself and raised a solitary eyebrow again just to watch the alpha grin in response.
“What’s your deal?” Lena mused, her wine glass halfway to her lips. “You’re obviously smart, attractive, and you’re capable of putting people at ease, but you’re single. Why is that?”
“Usually, my standard response is that I haven’t found the right woman,” Kara supplied with a casual shrug that didn’t begin to touch upon the depth of emotion in her startling blue eyes.
Lena got the impression that most people were happy to leave it at that, but if Kara was honest about wanting to get to know her, then she would need to be willing to open up.
“And the real reason?” Lena prompted when Kara didn’t volunteer the information freely. She sipped her wine as Kara set aside her fork and leaned on the table like she was ready to lay her soul bare.
“Most omegas hear what I do for a living and it turns them on.” Kara explained with candid honesty and a smile. “They enjoy the idea of my career when it pertains to what I can give them, but not so much when they realize I’m not about to quit my profession just to date them.”
“So, what you’re saying is they can’t handle your line of work?” Lena surmised with narrowed eyes, the tip of her tongue pressing between her lips as she considered how she felt about that.
“You wouldn’t expect a physical therapist to abandon their career, so why should I? I’m only helping people learn their bodies and I’m not ashamed of that,” Kara quipped with the kind of laidback confidence that came from facing scrutiny for years.
Lena understood it because she had developed the same kind after pushback from fellow CEOs that were predominantly alphas. After a certain point of striving to prove herself, she simply stopped, secure in her own skin with who she was and what she was capable of accomplishing. It was a freeing experience, though ultimately lonely, and she wondered if Kara felt the same way.
“Regretting that you didn’t bid on someone else?” Kara teased and raised her glass of water to hide her smile.
“If there’s one thing you’ll learn about me tonight, Kara, it’s that I only buy the best and I never regret a purchase.” Lena uttered succinctly, not the least bit embarrassed by owning her preferences, or how salacious it sounded to acknowledge that she had purchased a night with the alpha.
Kara poured the rest of the wine and chinked her glass against Lena’s in a toast to that. “To an omega who knows what she wants.”
Sharks swam above them and the tank refracted luminous patterns all around the table. The tranquil ambience and the alcohol both ebbed away at Lena’s nerves and Kara’s charm brought a smile to her lips.
“So, you asked me why I’m single,” Kara remarked and propped her chin on her hand as she seemed to ponder what to say next. “I could ask you the same. I can’t understand why such a hot scientist and CEO would be available.” She waved her hand as she announced Lena’s accolades like they had impressed her.
Lena chuckled and leaned forward to confide her secrets. “Oh, I’ve been single for a long time, and just for the shock value: I’ve never had good sex.”
Kara’s eyes popped at that and she pretended to take out a notepad and pen. “Are you going to give me details?”
Underneath the suave and slick exterior, Kara had an inner dork and somehow that made her even sexier.
Lena’s lip biting became even worse as the topic changed to her romantic entanglements. She never spoke to anyone about it, but Kara was easy to chat with and her instinct was to let her defenses fully slide.
“I’ve only dated a couple of people in the past.” Lena paused as the waiter came over with their dinner plates, and she blushed as she lifted a fork to taste the meal Kara selected.
Her plate was piled with tender vegetables and light, but flaky fish, and she took another bite of it as she realized that Kara had chosen well.
“It’s good, right?” Kara commented and flashed her a smile before digging into her own meal. “I got something different so we could share.”
Lena wouldn’t have done that on a normal basis, but swapping forkfuls of her dinner with Kara felt natural.
When she failed to elaborate on her story about her dates, Kara prompted her to continue. “So, tell me more about the people you dated and why they were terrible in bed.”
“I never said they were terrible,” Lena blustered as a faint heat crept up her neck in a clear sign of her embarrassment.
“You implied it,” Kara countered, and her knowing grin settled to a softer, more amused smile that eased Lena into a laugh.
“Honestly, at the time I thought it was me, and maybe it is,” Lena confessed, her wry tone alluding to some self-deprecating thoughts. “I was always busy tinkering with something and focused on my work. I connected somewhat with my exes on an intellectual level, but for all of our expertise in chemistry, we never seemed to have much of it in the bedroom.”
“Lack of attraction?” Kara inquired with a curious head tilt, and helped herself to a few steamed vegetables on Lena’s plate.
“More like lack of excitement,” Lena clarified, her fingers tapping against the stem of her wine glass as she considered how to articulate the problem. “I suppose there was never any real build up or flirtation. Sex felt more like a task they were trying to complete rather than cultivating intimacy or enjoyment. I never particularly looked forward to it and would throw myself deeper into work to avoid it.”
Kara reclined in her chair and leveled Lena with a look that immediately spiked her blood pressure. “When you pleasure yourself, are you able to achieve climax or do you struggle with that?”
Lena’s lips parted at being asked such a personal question and it was on the tip of her tongue to impulsively deny that she ever touched herself. “Are you seriously asking if I make myself come on a first date?”

Lena weighed her options so fast that Kara probably wasn’t aware that she was calculating the risk and rewards of what she was about to say next. “Wouldn’t you rather find out for yourself?”
That inspired a laugh, and Kara’s jovial surprise lasted all of three seconds before she shifted in her seat and peered at Lena to tease, “Why Miss Luthor, that sounds like you’re inviting me home.”

From Kara’s awesome pop-up restaurant idea (seriously great date idea) to the hot sex everything was great. LOVED seeing a confident almost arrogant yet playful Kara! It’s a great look for her.
