There was fire in Kara’s veins, lit by Lena’s three little words, and it engulfed her until she blazed white hot. Her hands scorched over Lena’s pale skin and found purchase on her lithe frame. She grasped Lena’s hips and sat up so fast that she had the omega pinned on her back with her momentum.

“We’re here to intervene,” The leader of the guards reported. “I’m Officer Edge and we’re going to take Miss Luthor for a special kind of treatment. You are welcome to participate.”
Lena shook her head and tried to reach for Kara, but the guards gripped her firmly and pushed her out of the bedroom.
“This is for your own good, Miss Luthor,” Officer Edge informed her, and his escort marched her down the hall and unlocked a door on the right.
It led to a spa with jets and Officer Edge turned them on as the two guards that held Lena pushed her down into the water.
Officer Edge handed a bottle full of runny liquid to Kara.
“You heard it yourself,” Edge warned. “She’s not strictly human. We expected her desires to abate somewhat after your earlier treatment, but studying her quick decline into a maddened state has shown us that her heat isn’t likely to subside on its own. You can either insert this into her, or one of us can do it. It should have a soothing effect on her body and make her feel like she’s been impregnated. That’s what her hormones are demanding right now.”
“Why have you put me in here?” Lena asked in fright. “Are you planning to waterboard me if I try to struggle?”
Edge sneered at her in disdain and motioned for his guards to keep ahold of her by the arms as they forced her onto her knees in the water. It settled just above her chest and Kara could not only see the terror in her face, she could smell it.
Despite her defiance, there was a sharp aroma that cut through the sweat and pheromones that flooded the room as the guards stared at Lena like she was sub-human. A thing to treat however they pleased, and Kara got the impression that if Officer Edge wasn’t present, then they would do just that.

“Is this really necessary?” Kara asked, her eyes dragging away from Lena to assess the other guards. They were all aggressors, and the way they fought to stop their lips curling upwards in a display of feral enjoyment told Kara all she needed to know.
“It’s for her own safety and ours,” Edge said matter of fact to Kara, and nodded subtly in a sign of respect. “It’s harder for Miss Luthor to hurt herself in the water if she thrashes. Go on. Get in and administer the liquid.”
Kara fought the urge to argue and schooled her face into a calm mask as she nodded, “Sure, but can you lower the guns?”
When the two other guards glowered at her, Kara turned to Edge and let out a fake laugh. “I’ll never get this in her if she’s clenching in fear.”
It disgusted her to speak about Lena like that, but the guards’ resounding laughter was what sickened her the most.
“Wouldn’t want to fail our assignment,” Officer Edge grinned and used his hand to signal to the guards to lower their weapons.
Kara stepped into the water and tried to ignore the way Lena’s betrayed eyes pierced into her as she reached for the omega’s hip to keep her steady.
“It’s going to be okay. I’m going to take care of you,” Kara whispered and brought the bottle between her legs under the water, but didn’t insert it. Instead, she squeezed the liquid into the water and the jets concealed her deception as she whispered, “All gone.”
Kara climbed out of the water as Lena sagged, whether in relief or shock was hard to tell as she handed off the empty bottle to Edge. “Now what?” she asked bluntly.
“Now they take her back to her room and you monitor her overnight. She should pass out, but that’s easier work for you,” Officer Edge instructed.
The guards pulled Lena back out of the spa room and shoved her stumbling into the hallway. Edge turned to Kara with a smirk and added roguishly, “While you’re at it, enjoy yourself and give her a treatment for me. Maybe she’ll wake up in a better mood then.”
Kara waited until the guards pushed Lena into her room and then turned to laugh and clap Edge on the shoulder, “I’ll give you one for her right now.”
Edge’s eyes lit up with hedonistic glee and the four other guards all seemed to enjoy the idea of it as they looked at Kara expectantly.
“Yeah?” Edge asked breathlessly, his tone excited as Kara grinned wider.
“Yeah,” Kara muttered and drew her hand back so fast she smacked the armed guard behind her in the face with an elbow, then flung her fist into Edge’s face with a resounding, satisfying crunch.
“Son of a bitch!” Edge hollered, his mouth bloody as he staggered back. The guards all snarled and lunged for Kara, and she threw them off with a roar of her own. She sent one guard sailing down the hall while holding Edge by the throat. One of the guards tried to chokehold her but Kara spun and slammed him into the wall until he crumbled to the floor.
Edge was turning purple, and Kara seethed and tightened her grip around his throat. She dropped him to punch the guard that had been at her back, but then one of them hit her in the face with the butt of a rifle and her vision swam.
The second time they struck, her world went black.
