“No, we gotta get out of here,” Supergirl grunted and flung her hand out towards Lena with an imploring look.

“Oh god, you don’t really care about her, do you? I had hoped this was all a publicity stunt,” Lillian intoned as she stepped into the room and came to a halt next to the cage to look down at them imperiously.
“Mother, of course, I should have known you’d be behind this,” Lena drawled, the jut of her chin petulant in spite of her hateful glare.
“Well, I had to check in, it’s not every day I find out my only daughter is in a relationship with a Kryptonian,” Lillian explained in exasperation and stuck her hands into her coat pockets with a look of clear disappointment. “Honestly, Lena, what were you thinking? Of all the alphas in the world, you had to pick the one that doesn’t belong here?”
“Maybe if the board didn’t have a clause that requires me to produce a powerful heir or forfeit my right as CEO, I wouldn’t have gone to the lengths I have,” Lena seethed as she got onto her feet to face off against her mother.
