I was thinking the spy is either Eve or Nia. Eve maybe because she’s mostly written just like her canon character in fics, a backstabbing spy. But maybe Andrea could be the new alpha Nia is seeing? Nia is sharing all these sweet details because she’s happy with for her friends, thinks Andrea is asking questions because she’s taking an interest in her life or whatever. Andrea’s a master manipulator and if you’re a good person, you won’t be able to tell right away that she’s playing you.
I'm not sayin' nothing... not a word. 😂 I'm kind of on the fence as to whether I'm going to address this in Chapter 19 - possibilities... possibilities. I'd better get back to writing!

I had a thought literally while in the shower today about this fic and I need to put it down here before the next chapter comes up but: WHAT IF THE MOLE IS EVE!? I don’t know the the theory really holds water (Sophia still talks to Eve? Maybe she keeps in touch??) but out of all of the adults - and I’m pulling for an adult because either Sophie or Andy would just be 😭😭- she would have probably the “best” motive. I embraced the whole role-play idea after mentioning it in another chapter. Felt like a good thing to pair with Kara taking charge. That's not to say Lena won't stand up for herself or Kara, but more so that Kara can just handle things how she wishes. 😁 The next few chapters will be fun. Thank you!

Andy seemed awful fast to deny it wasn’t her but honestly it seems so out of character for her to give Andrea that info especially unprompted but it doesn’t seem like Sophia did it either! They’ve got a spy in their midst dun dun dun. Poor Lena trying to be a good mom/host and getting sick from it. But it’s ok cause that role play HOO BUDDY. And Kara going to finally take charge about stand her ground CANT WAIT TO SEE IT. We’re almost at 20 chapters of this and it’s still as good as ever. You’re absolutely amazing with this story!

This was an amazing chapter! I love that Kara is gonna take charge on handling Andrea and I can’t wait to see how that turns out. The role play was also really good! That’s not usually my jam but I really enjoyed it with them. Very nice!!
I realized recently that you do about 10k words per BoE update and there are 18(!) updates, so I decided to add the word counts you listed and the word counts for the first 4 chapters. BoE is 198,676 words long. This is longer than: - Any book in LoTR - Dune - Catch-22 - The Grapes of Wrath - A lot of other famous stuff You're within 10k words of beating (heh) Moby Dick (206,052). Good job! That's a hell of a lot of writing!
