Oh! That's so true! Acrata in the comics is from México! I didn't remember it! Even better in that case, I'm mexican so I can help you with modisms and all that if you would like :D

Andrea will be in the next one!! And thank you in advance for translation help. ☺️ It's definitely challenging because there are differences depending on the country. Also, with respect to Andrea's background: I think it depends on whether you consult the comics or the show. https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Andrea_Rojas_(New_Earth)/Gallery?file=Acrata_01.jpg https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Andrea_Rojas_(New_Earth) Oops, pressed enter too soon. Sometimes the medallion is of Mayan origins, and in other places, it's Aztec. (In the show they go with Aztec origins). Sometimes Andrea is from Argentina and in other places, Mexico.

I'm just reading it! I can't wait to see what will happen when they meet Andrea again. Just one thing, Andrea's from Argentina isn't she? Why are they in Mexico? It's a little weird to me reading her dad living in México instead of Argentina and her mom's grave being in México too when they're not mexican. Also, spanish's my first language if you need help with some phrases! :D

I'm really glad Bernardo isn't the extra villain I feared him to be when his character was first introduced. I'd be happier if he takes Andrea down a peg or two by outright expressing his support for Lena and her relationship with Kara and the new family they are growing 😁🎉😂 I'm really living for Lena and Kara being all domestic. *cough*more please*cough* 🤣 Like srsly. I know I signed up for some ABO and shiz but I can't believe I initially skimmed past them seggzy times and went 👀 at Kara being all parental 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 If you ever get a chance to adding it to this story, I would love to see more CEO/business Lena and how Kara integrates into that facet of hers. Again. This series is TOP SHELF, MAN. TOP SHELF!!! 👑😁

That's awesome! I thought Patreon's recent updates were just cosmetic, but it's cool that they added that feature. I think one of the things I'm excited about is the fact that Andy is a pretty self-aware individual, but her upbringing will influence her in unexpected ways and Kara will play a role in helping with that. Sophia, too, but it's probably been more obvious how she's been affected.

Yeah, they had to be honest with Bernardo at some point. Andrea isn't behaving like an adult by cutting off total communication, so she really brought this upon herself. I don't thinks she's acting out of cruelty, but rather a place of self-pitying / self-imposed exile. The kids have definitely entrusted Kara with a lot. Lillian's living her best life hanging out with her grandkids and waiting for the drama to unfold. (That is something Lillian still has to find out!) Lol, Lillian's new earrings. 😂

Hey cool Patreon finally updated the mobile app so I can reply to your replies!! And yes! I’ve been exciting about Kara bonding with the kids especially the idea of Andy working through things she maybe learned from Andrea with Kara but every conversation Kara has with the kids is so so good I just sit here and devour it.

Shit just got real. I think Kara and Lena made the right plan to get all this lying out of the way. Andrea’s wrath be damned. I can’t believe Andrea is totally ignoring her children. 🤬🤬 what a total bitch. Kara is the perfect Alpha. I love how the kids will open up to her more than Lena. She loves those kids with her entire being. I know Lillian is thrilled that Andrea’s ass is fixing to be in the ringer. She may not know it’s more than the kids that this is about (if she knew that Andrea had been lying to her dad about hers and Lena’s marriage. I honestly believe she would have had her terminated). Lillian is going to be dancing in the streets with her new “earrings” from the previous chapter 🤣🤣🤣.

Lots, and at top velocity. ☺️ I wish I could magically finish the next update by tomorrow. Sometimes I think it would be great if I could just write everything very linearly, but I'm not sure I'd produce this much if I did it that way. The chapter is in progress though!

I'm looking forward to Bernardo's talk with Andrea too! And everything coming up with Kara (both related to what's going on in their family & some other stuff that's just for her development). ☺️ Thank you!!!

This took a tiny bit longer than I expected because I didn't know if I was going to get them to Mexico in this chapter or not. The events of 3 chapters kind of shuffled around for a few reasons. The good news is the next one is underway! I'm eager to get into everything I have planned for Kara, Andy and Sophia specifically. ☺️ I'm happy you enjoyed everything this chapter included! I try really hard to make each chapter a satisfying read with a mix of stuff. Thank you! 💙

Oh man oh man. How much of the shit is about to hit the fan and at what velocity?! I mean I want an update tomorrow :P But I know that's not going to happen so will wait until September for the next update.

Bernardo is great, and I look forward to him taking Andrea down a notch or too. And Kara is such a sweetie!!! Love their relationship so much!!! Thanks for sharing ;)

ahh omg leaving us on a cliffhanger!! i found myself wondering when we are going to get another chapter of this truly special story :) i’m eager to see the differences in andy and sophia’s reactions to the news that their sire is such an ass…and i’m loving protective parent kara 🥰🥰 plus some hot sex and lillian meddling?? you spoil us as always

I emailed my question off to someone who lives in that general area for some extra insight. But one of the things I do sometimes when trying to understand language in context is check out usages on social media. I was actually able to find some on Twitter in which "morrita" refers to an adult daughter and is not used in a romantic sense/for a girlfriend. And someone actually asking the same question: Cuando escriben: "a mi Morrita le gusta tal..." ¿Su morrita es su hija o su pareja? Lots of instances of people using morrita for gf, too.

Yeah, that’s probably best. If nothing else I think morra fits for what you’re going for without the girlfriend attachment. Maybe muchachita?

I was going for roughly the equivalent of "little girl/young'un" with a kind of condescending tone, but yeah, morro/morra is one of those words with different meanings across cultures, as in some places it doesn't refer to a person at all but the face/front of something, and I know there are other connotations in other cultures for Morro/morra/morrito(a) that don't mean girlfriend/kid. If you look up morrito you'll find the usages are little boy/less romantic usages. I think typing "morrita" or other equivalent sorts of terms of endearment for women into Google will just reap a lot of porn. 😑 I'll have to check with someone I know who is from the areas I'm writing about/imagining Bernardo is from and see what they have to say too.

When looking at the definitions you have to make sure not to mix the regular form with the diminutive form. The words literally mean the same thing but they have different connotations. Like take ‘mama’ and ‘mamacita’ the first is literally mom but the second has a sexy feel to it and doesn’t mean the woman is a mother. Same with morrita. Obviously if Andrea were literally a child the meaning would be unambiguous but her being an adult and using the diminutive form muddles the meaning a bit. https://www.dictionary.com/e/translations/morrita/ Also, when I accidentally typed “vez esa morrita” instead of “ves esa morrita” into google I got some x-rated searches come up. Idk what that tells you 😅

Yeah morro/a are used for children more but morrita can vary. Literally it means chick or young girl but is commonly used for girlfriend. I think it’s like calling your girl ‘baby girl.’ I’ve mainly heard it in music talking about a girl they’re interested in. When I looked up the definition in Spanish I got: Nice girl with whom you have a romantic relationship, girlfriend, or the literal translation as chick or young girl. Obviously the context here shows he’s using it to call her a child so it’s fine, but maybe using morra would work better instead of the diminutive morrita. Mija is a term of endearment but it’s used all the time that it feels somewhat neutral. It really is the tone that determines how it comes across. As long as he’s not yelling it angrily, Mija doesn’t sound off in the scenario. Most terms I can think of to call her immature or like a child in one word including morra and chamaca feel off when referring to someone in their late 30s, but that’s kind of the point isn’t it. Translations are hard when you have to consider not just literal definitions but also the connotation of words and take into account regional differences. I’d say you’ve done a good job so far!

I feel like the next several chapters might end up this way -- just sort of flowing into each other. I wrote a few more scenes, but this seemed like the best place to break it for another chapter. Do you mean will Andy talk to Kara about being an alpha? Definitely. Kara is teaching all of the kids how an alpha should act, and Andy's going to have her own problems that she brings to Kara. ☺️ Given the heaviness of the first part with Andy, Lillian had to bring some humor. And the filming was sort of a random decision but I wanted them to do something spicy to cope with all of that stress. Thank you!!!! And yeah she is!

Rocket

I somehow completely forgot where exactly we left off with this one so it opened with a BANG and then my heart just BROKE for Andy 🥺. I know she’s going to be ok and a good alpha growing up but one of these days I wonder if she and Kara are gunna have a chat about their shared status because I’m the same with Lena - Kara parenting is HOT 😍. So glad to see Sophia’s coming around and letting Kara help with things (ooooo she’s got a cruuuuush). Lillian in this one is honestly my fave! We love a good mom and she’s killing it. And hoooooo buddy the filming the sex was a great great idea 🥵. You never fail to deliver with this one and OH BOY ANDREA YOU’RE IN HOT WATER NOW!!

Kinda close to it! 😂

Just some other resources: https://forum.wordreference.com/threads/morro-meaning-boy.2355219/ https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/spanish-english/morro

Oh my god. Is Kara perfect or what? 🥺

Oh, yeah, Bernardo is pissed. 😂 Parent Kara had a lot of opportunities to parent, and I'm glad you loved it! Thank you! ☺️

Thank you! ☺️

Hey, thank you! No offense taken at all. The first was actually a typo/just plain not thinking, thank you for catching it. Whether in English or Spanish, if you spot a mistake, let me know because I'd prefer to fix it. Sometimes I go back into old stories to check certain details for a continuity stuff and I catch other errors I just missed because I'm usually unable to read by the time I'm done writing and editing my own stories. I was about to use mija for the second instance, but isn't morrita also like "youngster" at least in Mexican regionalism (Northern)? https://www.reddit.com/r/translator/comments/pa3v63/spanishenglish_morro_morro/ https://www.spanishdict.com/translate/morrita Just from Google - Definition – Morro and its feminine form morra are one of the most robust Mexican slang words. We use it to call a girl or a boy, but we can also use it to express how young they are. Depending on the context, it could mean 'kid', 'young', 'dude', 'guy', 'boy' and 'girl'. Mija is affectionate. Anyway, I shifted it to that, but let me know your thoughts on the above! 👀

First off great chapter as always. It was nice seeing Kara and Lena take charge and decide to stop covering for Andrea. I have a couple comments on the Spanish used. You used the word cariña but cariño is a masculine noun regardless of who is being addressed. Ik It’s weird and I even had to look it up after reading it to make sure. I just got a vague feeling of wrongness y’know? The other isn’t wrong per se but Bernardo calling Andrea morrita at the ends feels weird. From what I know morrita has a ‘romantic’ connotation. I think a better term would be chamaca, mija, or just Andrea. Again, loved the update. Hope I didn’t offend you.

I was looking forward to this chapter. Great work.

Andrea is in troubleeeee. Freaking finally, I was tired of her attitude - also, I think I love parent Kara just as much as Alena does 🥵
